LWS vol has been hinting for weeks that we will lose a few more before the season starts. I just hope no more OL. Myers, Johnson, and Bailey really hurt us as far as OL goes. All 3 could have started next season and had 2nd string duty this season. Johnson would probably have been a starting tackle this season. Due to those 3 being off the team and like 5 OL graduating this year...we have to recruit atleast 6 OL this year. 2 will be juco's i imagine
NOT rod wilks.
but in all seriousness i do wanna know. btw is it just me or did kenny oneal get kicked off last year? i just dont remember
Kenny O'Neal was booted before the beginning of last season so his release was done during the Fulmer era. Its a shame too because I thought the kid had a lot of potential... Decent height/size and blazing speed, would have fit nicely into Kiffins system IMO. Some of the kids that have been kicked out since are for academic reasons, some have had toughness issues, and I believe there has been at least one with a disciplinary issue. This is just a weeding out process that many expected, I wouldnt worry too much. :zeitung_lesen:
All you guys better get down there and let Lane know about the major mistakes He is making right now. Hurry, maybe you can get him to change his mind.
Yep, phillip didn't exactly leave us stocked full of Blue chippers.Did someone say it was a mistake? I must have missed it.
What I and others have said is that UT is dangerously thin at OL coming into this season AND that it will be even tougher next year when the only 4 experienced OL's are gone.
Rather than get into a protracted argument with you like I have others, I'd just invite you to go to Rivals or UTSports and look at UT's OL returnees. There are only 11 scholarship players (assuming Shaw is still on the team and Sawtelle plays coming off double shoulder surgery) and 4 of them are centers.
Mistake? I hope not. Problem? Yes.

...or even guys with apulse. to be fair though the old staff had commits from phillips and foster to go with revis and schofield. rightly or wrongly some of the guys who are gone would also still be there.
i'm definitely not arguing with clk's new std only pointing out that the roster wouldn't be so thin.
