Who else is done? (merged)

I was a Falcons and Braves can growing up and never quit on them. I challenge you quitters to Never cheer for UT again. I don't like the play calling but loyalty to your teams should mean something and will make winning once again that much sweeter. But for the quitters on here, you will wander in the desert and never taste the sweetness of the promise land because you are no longer UT fans. You will remember and rue this day. Rue I tell ya.

I'm not done as a fan, but I need to cut back financially and emotionally. Meaning, I will watch from home but also flip to watch other games. My iPhones and drywall have taken a beating. This coming from a spoiled alum 96-2000.

This. I quit going to games several years. Too much money to watch below average results.

Those of you whining little girls that can't take a loss go ahead and get off the wagon. Yes, losing sucks, but it's part of sports. And once you leave, don't come crawling back when things FINALLY get turned around. Fire Butch you say? You probably still think Gruden is just around the corner. You guys give hillbillies a bad name.

Lol. I'm ticked we dominated a game, and lost. The playcalling sucked. Worley regressed.

But what were you expecting this season? That's what I find perplexing. 6 wins was a challenge going in.

Yeah, we all had our expectations for the year, but then we saw that this team had some talent. Our defense can play with anyone and when our offense is clicking, it has the talent to score on anyone.

People think you are a negavol if you expect more out of your team and coaching staff. If they couldn't do it, that's one thing, but these guys can play. Many of the negavols on here believe that our team can accomplish more than they are. Who is more negative? The one who believes that the team is capable of so much more, or the ones who believe that we should just be happy to settle for a 5 win season?

As for Coach Jones, I love him, but I'm tired of the catchy slogans, the witty taglines and the celebrity endorsements. He may also find that his loyalty to his staff, while commendable, may cost him his job.

Finally, I believe that they are not running Worley to keep him healthy so that we can win some games. Ironically, we are losing games because he is not running. Have a good night and God bless. :hi:

I go back to the Doug Dickey years. 6 of the last 7 years have been the toughest stretch of bad Tennessee football that I've ever watched. I do hope Butch gets the job done but today was my last day watching/caring so much ... the heart just can't take it any longer. And for all the following posters who make those "get lost", "good riddance", "who needs you", "fair weather fan", etc, etc, etc comments ... "F... you too".

For what it's worth? I got your back!

I've been a Vol fan for 40 years and as a "true fan" this is the low point. Enough is enough, no more excuses.

It is always something. For the longest while the O line was the strength of the offense if not the team. Now it is the biggest liability. It is so frustrating...will it ever come together? Are we going to win a meaningful SEC game anytime soon?

V F L.

Disappointing day. But Not Done. Why would you even come on here and announce it if you are done.

Go Big Orange. Forever.

Sorry, but I don't tie my value as a person to whether my team wins or loses. It's not about being a fan of the winning team, or having bragging rights at the office.

It's about passion.

I love the Vols. Loved growing up watching them as a kid in Knoxville, loved watching them at Neyland stadium while I was attending UT (during the Peyton years), and I still love watching them from 450+ miles away now. Win or lose, my blood runs orange and I will support these young men regardless. We're so close, and what makes it so painful right now is knowing that they CAN win these games, the consistency and experience just isn't there yet.

So if you're done, go. Don't let the door hit you on your way out, and don't bother coming back when things get turned around. Just like you know that love is love when times get hard, you can tell who the real fans are when the season doesn't go the way you want it.

Go Big Orange!

I'm not done but I may not watch the Florida game next year. I hate Florida with a passion and it kills me to watch us continually lose to those classless pricks.

Okay, you're done. So where you headed?

Bama?

Florida State?

Notre Dame?

What big time program you gonna go follow instead of this one?

Either you're a fan; or you're not.

that was the worst loss i have seen in all of CBJ's tenure at Tennessee. It's been a short tenure but there have been some really, really awful losses.

Oregon 59-14
Alabama 45-10
Missouri 31-3

...those are top 4. florida loss this year is the worst. not going to sugar coat it or deny it. look at the facts.

Those folks are still giving their team the support it needs. Each one has a choice to make.

Now quit cowering in that trench, Blythe, pick up that rifle and get back out there. The 101st needs you and there is more fightin to be done.

Shirley, you don't understand what coaching turnover does to a program.

If you ever called for Fulmer's head, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Do you see what happens? This is what happens.

Now you're done w Butch? Jesus. We're doomed.

Tell that to Kentucky, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Bammer (ala Saban), LSU (ala Saban) Georgia (Richt)...

I Love Jones but this was not only winnable it was a must win.

Cya OP and the rest of you that are "done". Glad to be rid of bad fans. You keep saying Butch has to go or this or that.

Have you idiots forgotten the coaching treadmill we have been on? Kiffen with his bad players and Dooley with his 1* and no Offensive line signee's left the cupboards bare. Let Butch do his work or go to hell.

I found today to be the most disappointing. Expected to get hammered by good teams last year. Thought we would beat a mediocre Florida at home this year.

No matter the coach... We almost always crap the bed against the gators.
