butch doensn't have a lot of talent to work with like other sec schools because of dooley---with some top recruiting classes, 2017 should be the year when he can beat ga and win the sec east!

Most football analysts predicted another losing season for Tennessee this year based on the inexperienced players that would have to play. This should not come as a surprise to find UT where they are at this time. Depending on so many freshmen to play major minutes is really not an ideal situation for winning in any sport. Butch has done an admirable job, considering. A top five recruiting class last year and another one coming this year, building the depth that is needed in the SEC. This was not going to be a quick turn around for our team. "Fans" who are giving up, jumping ship, done, whatever, were not being realistic in their expectations this year. These guys are playing their tails off every week, and it has been about three mistakes at crucial times in the games that are the difference in being 2-3 and 5-0 or 4-1.

Go ahead and bash away at Butch, the team, the assistant coaches, but the real fact is that this team is giving its all for Tennessee every game. There is no quit from anyone. Go on and quit on the team, fill up the stadium with empty seats, show the kids who have already committed and those who are strongly considering Tennessee that we are an unfaithful unrealistic fan-base, and watch as the class disintegrates before your very eyes. I would be at every home game if I were financially able, to show support for my team. Unfortunately, we live in a time of instant gratification and too many of the fans on here are looking for just that.

My advice is simple: support this team and this coaching staff. The rewards and results everyone wants is coming, but it will take more than one recruiting class to make it happen. I hate losing to Florida for ten years in a row as much as anyone, but look at their recruiting classes and they have highly rated players in starting rolls as well as backups. We don't have that luxury yet, but if we stay faithful to this team and staff, it's coming but it will require patience, so, PATIENCE PEOPLE, PATIENCE!

So by demanding better you quit? Get over yourself, you are not important to Tennessee football. We shouldn't settle for bottom feeders but most expectations were 5-7 to 7-5 which is still reachable. Everybody needs to just get behind the team and let the season play out. Then come on here and voice your opinion. If you quit as a fan mid season then go be a fan somewhere else. We will not miss you and we don't won't you back.

Thank you for making my point. A true fan supports their team through the good times and bad times. We should have won the game yesterday, we did not. I am still going to proudly wear my orange . We are where Bama was in the early 2000's. We will get better.

I'm sorry sunshine .I'll never quit on the Vols. No exscuse you or 50 more exscuse makers come up with will justify yesterday. Keep trying sweet thang. (Twist it all you want .but where in that Dooley loving mind did you get I quit?)

Do you think Bama fans are calling for Saban to be fired this morning after all the Tide lost to Ole MS?

Do you think Texax A&M are calling for Sumlin's head this morning after they were beat by MS ST yesterday.?


I look for improvement. I did not see any on the offensive side of the ball yesterday, the defense played a very good game. Do I see overall improvement from last year? Yes I do. We are a very young team that is going to be special. These freshmen that are playing are going to do one thing, get better. With another good recruiting class on it's way the 2015 ,Vols can be a very good team.

That is not an excuse. The fact is we are there YET.

Gramps if you honestly believe we didn't win 3 quarters yesterday and should have won then I'm wasting my time. If you had 100000 + fans living off your every word wouldn't you pull out all the stops to prove it? Or would you stick to what has yet to work in order to prove "we are who we are" ?
