We have NO clue if Merk is ready. I hope he is, but not so sure he is. None of us know one way or the other. If we can use Nico’s money and get a starting WR and a starting OL, I’ll be very happy.
Merk is ready and is a gamer. The little QB option keeper that was run only a few times by Nico, would be a staple for Merk.
Reportedly, he was asking $4. Not worth what he has been paid so far. When you pay a kid that kind of money, it should be back-loaded to prevent this type of crap. He was worth $0 in year 1. Probably $1M in year 2, based on performance. So, he got almost $5M already for about $1M in worth. That makes him a total POS. Hope he gets what he deserves!Well then upping to $3m shouldn’t be that big of a deal.
Probably what the staff is debating right now. If Merk is “ready” enough to jump into the SEC and learn as he goes, then we just need Moore back to help.Heupel isn’t likely gonna go after a for sure starter. He can’t. Moore knows the system and at the very least would provide depth for basically chump change. Moore would be a solid backup option.
I think regardless you bring in a portal guy. GMac just isn’t physically ready for SEC football if Merk goes down. Need more depth there especially with breaking in a mostly new Oline.Probably what the staff is debating right now. If Merk is “ready” enough to jump into the SEC and learn as he goes, then we just need Moore back to help.
If Merk is not, then we will need to drop a bag on a pretty good 1 year guy.
Really?Nico is frustrated because Heupel struggles to recruit high school and transfer portal players,
