This is a completely different team than what we saw at the beginning of the season. I’m not sure what’s transpired behind the scenes, but it’s working. I think we are finally seeing the beginnings of the rebirth of UT football.
It's my opinion that the team changed the moment Maurer stepped onto the field. When they had a QB who could make the passes thats when the team knew that could win and the pieces began falling into place. Maurer brought the spark that ignited a FIRE. Even appears JG was turning a corner as well and good for him. What happened tonight with the players and the brotherhood they showed at the game, one the field, and after the game WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.I think what has happened behind the scenes is that some of the players (like JJ) started calling people out in the locker room. I think the coaching has been there all along with Pruitt. It tooks some players stepping up to make the final connection.
Simply put, some VFLs got tired of getting beat down and led the rest of the team along to a new attitude.
The culture has finally shifted IMHO
