Who could possibly say this isn't massive improvement?

This is a completely different team than what we saw at the beginning of the season. I’m not sure what’s transpired behind the scenes, but it’s working. I think we are finally seeing the beginnings of the rebirth of UT football.

Football is a repetition sport on a team level and an individual level. It is like weight lifting. When you first start , improvement is slow. Then incremental . Then in strides. When you look at the number of freshmen , the underdeveloped QB's , and the new D-line and LB's we started this year ...it is unrealistic to think that the guys were going to be a coordinated , high level group out of the gate. Especially when half the team was not there for spring practice. They have got their repetitions in and have developed.

I’ve called Pruitt out multiple times on here, but I have no problem saying this team is definitely improving. Georgia state was one of those no excuses things, but the team at this point compared to then is night and day. Props to the staff and all of these players fighting in each game. Hope Pruitt and staff can keep up the momentum and get the Vols back where we should be.

I am waiting on the finish. Loved tonight but remember Auburn last year. If we finish like tonight we are on the right track. Happy to see JG play well. When he has time he looks good.

This... we have seen teams peak in week 6-8 then peter out in last few games.

Fingers crossed.

I'm just glad we are getting better. After stating out as one of the 25-30 worst teams in all of CFB there was a whole lot of room to get better. This does show the no talent arguements weren't valid early on this year. We were as talented or more so than no fewer than 8-9 teams on the schedule this season.

Tonight was fun.

First time in a long, long time I saw the Vols decide to actually kick the crap out of someone. This team appears to have had enough. They are sick of losing.

Very very proud and JG played well too. Whole team played well.

I have hope now and that means a lot.

I think what has happened behind the scenes is that some of the players (like JJ) started calling people out in the locker room. I think the coaching has been there all along with Pruitt. It tooks some players stepping up to make the final connection.

Simply put, some VFLs got tired of getting beat down and led the rest of the team along to a new attitude.

The culture has finally shifted IMHO
It's my opinion that the team changed the moment Maurer stepped onto the field. When they had a QB who could make the passes thats when the team knew that could win and the pieces began falling into place. Maurer brought the spark that ignited a FIRE. Even appears JG was turning a corner as well and good for him. What happened tonight with the players and the brotherhood they showed at the game, one the field, and after the game WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
The last few games has been so enjoyable and now we will even have games to watch during the off season and dream about what can be again

I don’t recall ever seeing a turn around like what I’ve seen the past few weeks. We handled Miss State, played Bama off their feet and they had to have a lot of help from the refs and now we just dismantled SCar. Better yet, we have a real chance to win out. It’s almost like this team said, “yeah, ok, just kidding! Now we’re gonna start playing!” What happened? What made the light come on for this team? Hope we keep it going. GBO!

There will be no coaching awards this season for Pruitt. But more importantly than wins...he has a chance to win over all these players and fans. We were al on the femce entering the season. Many of us (including me) jumped completely off after losses to ga state, BYU, and uf. I’m actually shocked to be as excited as I am just 4 weeks later. But we’ve seen an energetic coach that calling an excellent defensive hame and getting in the players Daves when necessary. It was so weird how he just stood there almost out of it to start the season. The players need to see that fire out of their coach. I’m not ready to anoint him our savior yet. But Ive been encouraged these last few weeks. If we could win out and pick up some big recruits we could end up calling this a really successful season...which I never thought possible after the first few weeks

The team that came out in the second half tonight is one nobody wants to play.

There have been growing pains for sure, but it’s imperative Fulmer keeps this staff together in the off-season.

If Coach O beats Bama he deserves SEC COTY pretty much regardless of what happens

Easily.

Also damn would love another shot at the Gators. I wish it was that game instead of UGA moving to November lol

You don't want anymore of the Gators.

*edit* I instantly regret posting this response, I should know better by now.
