Whistles don’t matter!

Play's dead when forward progress stops, not when the whistle blows. Tennessee got away with a hold on the int in the end zone. Calls go both ways for every team, every season.
Lol at this guy. Y’all are still bitching about the referees a couple of years ago when y’all crapped the game away to bama. Can’t wait to hear the excuses tonight about how bad the calls were when y’all lose to Michigan

That's the perfect picture of both feet still driving and him obviously not down.
Thanks for posting!!!

Maybe there is hope for you yet.

Concerning the play in question, the runner's forward progress was impeded and slowed, but never fully stopped.

Calls will go both ways (usually), but some calls are bound to be more consequential to a game's outcome than others. That certainly is the case, when you have a touchdown negated in overtime, because an official didn't allow a ball carrier's churning momentum to procede to its completion.

... and why are you here? Shouldn't you be on Dawgvent, psyching yourself up for another major letdown tonight, like all of the other overconfident Georgia fans?

GO BLUE!

A player's forward progress stops when he stops moving forward. He was getting pulled into the end zone by one of his teammates, but he still got stopped.
He never fully stopped moving forward. He was impeded, but still had momentum moving forward. Your one foot argument is laughable. You don't know what your talking about.

They let that situation play out every time. The only time forward progress gets blown dead is when someone is standing up and either stopped or being driven backwards. Calling forward progress to prevent a TD when someone is on there way to the ground is stupid. The only people making that argument would change sides if it was their team that got screwed. Especially this troll.

I say BS. How many times we see a play stuffed only for a lineman to bulldoze the pile forward, ITS ALSO CALLED SECOND EFFORT !

Are you saying the the RB never stopped moving forward? Did you watch the replay? Do you know what you're talking about?

I've watched it many times now. His forward momentum was never fully stopped until after the ball had clearly crossed the plane of the end zone. That is also the consensus opinion among officials who have publicly commented on the play in question.
