Very small world I went to Thompson as well what year did you graduate? My wife's family lives in Calera... If you ever saw a tan f250 with a Tennessee T on the front and a big T on the back that's me

Class of '01 here. I only have a power T on the back of my car. Need to find a plate for the front.

Showed it to my wife. Now, she does it as a hobby, but the stuff she sells online brings pretty solid money. For instance, a pretty plain baby blanket and cap bring in excess of $100. She said if she had a pattern for the UT blanket in the photo she'd CONSIDER making one for $400, and she bet she'd find she needed to charge over $500 to make it worthwhile for her.

I would imagine the woman who made that did not have a pattern, and, regardless, she's gifted.

Prattville I would really like to purchase one of those throws if I could get in touch with her. My wife had one of her friend make me one for Christmas many years ago and it is showing it's age. I would like to add a another one to the inventory.

In Montgomery Al. I noticed an older lady crocheting a cool looking AU blanket. I know it's AU. We started talking and she is a great grandma raising her two autistic great grandchildren on her own and she said she makes collegiate throws in her spare time to make ends meet. Long story short, I ordered a UT throw and told her to contact me when she finished. Well 3 months later I had all forgotten about it and got a text this morning with the finished throw. It was $75 but I rounded it up to an even $100 considering her situation and the time and effort it took to absolutely kill it! The guy holding it up is 6'4. I'm a happy camper.

Be careful and don't let the university find out she is doing this or they would want their cut of the pie.

I thought that if it's a one time pattern then it's legal? Don't you have to prove that more then one of the same are being sold?

Thought I would ask.

I spoke with her and told her about VN wantingto place orders and you are spot on. She said she didn't know about UT but UA and AU actually sends goons out to troll flea markets looking to lay 5K fines for copyright infringement. Probably how they meet recruiting payroll.

I'm not surprised by AU. We print t-shirts and getting licensing from AU was the worst.

Just throwing in my two cents to agree that the woman did an amazing job. That thing is absolutely beautiful.

You got quite the deal. A handmade throw like that is worth at least $250-$500.
