Which schools should be considered college football royalty?

I'm confused. Why is Brown being discussed when he never won a Heisman and finished 5th as said? Majors lost to Hornung and not Brown so the argument is should Majors have won it over Hornung. Majors finished ahead of Brown for whatever reason(s) so Brown is a moot point.

It's not a moot point.

His point is that Majors and Hornung had no business sniffing the Heisman. Jim Brown should have won. We know damn well why Brown didn't win.

And his point is absolutely correct. If one wants to claim Majors was screwed, you need to realize he needs to get in line behind Jim Brown.

To the best of my knowledge, Majors has always said that Jim Brown should have won.

I think we can all agree TN is one of them and this is a pretty good list.
1.Notre Dame(892-313-42).732
2.Michigan(925-331-36).730
3.Ohio State(875-320-53).722
4.Oklahoma(861-319-53).720
5.Alabama(864-326-43).718
6.Texas(885-353-33).709
7.USC(813-333-54).700
8. Nebraska(880-368-40).699
9. Penn State(856-382-42).685
10. Tennessee(820-371-53).680

Miami belongs on that list somewhere.

What? How is it a moot point? You're lost.

Or you can better explain your reasoning but you want to be a smart ass.

Because Brown was a non-factor in who finished 1-2 and for reasons likely having nothing to do with football the only argument being made is Majors should've won over Hornung since that's the 2 it came down to. I understand that you think Brown should've won it over everyone and he was the one ultimately screwed.
