Where is Nico likely to land?

Even if he does we are smarter. Dude ain’t worth 4 mil. Hell, u take away the D and Sampson record breaking season and he ain’t worth 2 mil.

19TD and 5InT and QBR of 70.

Outside of cupcake games guy struggled to get us in the board first half of most games.

Honestly, what game did he win us.

He had ball in his hands as time was running out and ran out of bounds Ala Milton 2.0.

Tons of hype. No meat,
17 of those TDs were against teams that weren't Ark, Bama, UF, UGA, and OU!

It is amazing that he pulled this. He was 8th in quarterback ratings in the SEC last year. Aside from what it says about his character, or lack thereof, he had a overinflated sense of his ability. In watching the Arkansas game, I thought Taylen Jackson was a better quarterback who likely had a much lower NIL deal. In fact, their qb ratings were very close. Any school that hires him is taking a big risk.

I don't think I've ever seen so many fans of other teams saying good for TN on reddit CFB, TN usually gets a lot of hate.
Even got a Gator fan that said he doesn't even like TN and upset the way Nico tried to hose us
Even saw some UCLA guys saying they don't want him either

I suspect he'll be lucky to find a place willing to give him what he was getting here. All of his leverage is gone. Not many places have an extra 2 million to throw around for a single player. He's not a sure thing to light it up and he brings a lot of negative publicity. Has to be a pretty desperate program and usually those places have lots of reasons they are desperate, not just lacking a qb.

No reason for a team to over pay for him now since they know there won't be a bidding war.
Nico getting a lot of bad press also other team fans are saying good on TN for letting him walk. Rumor is Oregon coach gave TN a heads up Nico was looking
He's going to be under a microscope even more now where ever he goes.
Wouldn't be shocked if he winds up making what he was making at TN, he has no choice but to play wherever he lands for the season because he can't sit out and expect to get drafted.
If he winds up in Cali making the same as he was in TN, he'll actually be making less because of taxes
I can't really blame someone for trying to getting money but the biggest sin Nico did was not going ahead and hitting the portal after the CFP, he would've taken some flack from us but for there to be rumors he was looking back in Jan and stayed all through spring practice taking 1st team reps from other players only to skip practice the day before the O&W game is a very bad look.
TN made him the first official $8m college QB, went to court to make sure he got to play and then to do what he did probably turned a few head coaches off to him because they don't want to wind up being in the same boat with one of their players, even more so since he wasn't out there having 300yrd games and throwing a lot of TD's

Dan Lanning confirmed it. Apparently Oregon was the source that told Heupel. I forever respect them now.

Why start a post like this???? Nobody cares what happens to him or where he goes!
It's my conspiracy theory. The point is that tOSU could be the reason Nico entered the portal. They've got the roster Nico wants. None of the other projected landing spots have a better roster than the Vols. tOSU has the money. Would UCLA, TT, UW or UNC put up $3M or more for a QB that will only be there for a little over 6 months? If so, why?--he's probably not good enough to carry any of those teams to the playoffs. tOSU may think they have the need at QB if they want to increase their chances of a NC, and they probably wouldn't have any problem with breaking rules on illegal contact. tOSU is the only destination that makes any sense (Of course, I'm making the outlandish assumption that Nico's camp isn't a bunch of complete morons).

Stand up coach there.
Got to think coaches are tired of this mess. Saban saw it coming and said he wanted part of having to recruit the same kid every year
Also appears fans from a lot of other programs are standing with TN not giving in to the demands.

Ohio State makes the most sense to me on paper, but they haven't been mentioned by any inside sources.

USC also makes sense, but alot of people apparently like their QB room. I think Lincoln Riley could do alot with Nico.

UCLA seems to fit the need and is near Nico's home. But do they really have the money? I think if this happens it's a huge loss for Nico both from a payment perspective and a career perspective.
He’s not good enough for Ohio State. That’s not going to happen. They’re used to having a good quarterback. They don’t want a toothpick that’s gonna get crippled on the first play.

He would do well at a place like Stanford. Can they afford him though? Andrew Luck as GM has the chance to make some waves. Tech has a pretty good QB w/ Morton I'm not sure they'd tell him to leave. Colorado has our former QB Salter and another 5 star, so I think they're good. UCLA has a senior QB with comparable stats.

Would UCLA even wanna get involved with the family? Especially since his brother flipped from them on signing day
Great question. Maybe if they land Nico they think that might get their foot back in the door with Madden?

In this era of CFB, who knows? Certainly not me.
