Im just curious if we got buyout help for allowing this.
I could look it up but Im too lazy.
we're overpaying this coach so much that whatever buyout was paid is totally insignificant...don't hear me wrong, I'm not saying pruitt is a bad hire, but I do think it's obvious we overpaid (and, in fact, we had to) for another up and comer...who else was banging down his door to make him one of the highest paid coaches in the country?
Not sure 3.8 is overpriced
You have absolutely no evidence that him staying at Bama will help recruiting
You might think that and have an opinion on it but zero evidence
If you do post a link
I'd say that it is.

Gus Malzahn, Auburn: $4,725,000
Jeremy Pruitt, Tennessee: $3,800,000

Helping Bama, doesn't help Tennessee
I'd say that it is.

It's a solid common-sense speculation. Good grief. We will get a lot of attention during Bama''s game/games just by Pruitt being on the sidelines. If their defense plays stout, all the better.
Those are opinions based on common sense and experience, not any kind of evidence...other than watching college football for about 45 years. Lighten up, please. It's all good.
From past happenings, Dan Mullen did it and said it was a mistake and that it made his recruiting difficult. This time he chose to immediately report for full time duty at Florida. Mark Richt also stayed at Florida State and he too said it hurt his efforts at Georgia and looking back he would have immediately started working for UGA.
Kirby Smart did it and took a very stable 10 win Georgia team down to 7 wins in year one.
The other major negative to me and I'm sure those who feel this way about it is that I consider it a football sin for the UT football head coach to be aiding Alabama with anything.
So hopefully Clemson wins 77-0 and ends this split roles nonsense.
If I had to guess, he is out recruiting. He said he would be doing recruiting and HC duties here until the dead period starts. The dead period is December 18th through January 11th. So he will do his duties here until December 18th, then go back to Bama to finish up. The NC game will be done before the dead period ends, so he can jump right back into recruiting after that.
everybody's expendable. that is something you learn as a military leader. and that includes yourself. Gump would be just fine without him.So you want him to throw a giant deuce on his previous commitments? To not only the players he brought to Bama and coached up, but the defensive coaching staff he was in charge of? His boss? Outstanding leader you must've been in your military days.
Just a few years ago. And I can verify that both mine and Okie/Illini/Arkies post counts have seriously diminished over the years. This is the most fired up Arkie has been about anything not dealing with Tiger in years.
