My wife and I are really into history (she will be a history teacher in a year) and we are going to D.C. in December. I'm really excited about it, any advice?
That sounds like a really neat place to stay.We are staying at the Chester A. Arthur B&B in Logan Circle. My wife is obsessed with presidents so I thought it would be fun to stay in an old house with a president's name.
I figured we wouldn't drive much, I've heard there are a lot of bad areas so I don't want to take a chance of getting lost with her with me.
How long are you going to be there for? I went there a few years ago for orientation with IBM. I took a night tour, amazing with all the lights. However you will need more than that to cover everything. The Iwa Jima memorial, and the Korean memorial were my fav. 2. My grandpa served in the korean war so that was neat for me.
