Where do you go when you die?

Back into the state of non existence, like, prior to being born.

You're half right. Back to whatever existence prior to being born. It certainly could be non-existence (with respect to consciousness); it could also be continued existence.

What if you don't go anywhere? What if you lay in a box and just deteriorate? Is there any proof you go to heaven or hell? I want to hope I go to heaven and all my lived ones will to, but no one will ever know till it's their time. My point is, enjoy each moment like you'll never experience it again. Live by your what you feel is right or wrong and the rest will work itself out.

Several years ago, I had a heart attack and died in the front lawn. True story, not joking. The ambulance came pretty quick and they hit me with the paddles three times. I was revived and taken to the hospital a few blocks away.
People have all these stories about seeing lights and stuff before they were brought back. That didn't happen with me. There was nothing. Then again, I'm an atheist, so maybe there's a different set of rules. But keep in mind, a lot of atheists are really good people. You try to help others and be respectful, helpful, etc... but the short answer is I don't know if there's an afterlife, but I seriously doubt it.

Then you do believe something came from nothing then. God had to come from somewhere. Someone or some thing had to create him.
No they didn't, God has been in existence forever. Man has no concept of forever or infinity because there is a beginning (birth) and an ending (death). God is love and will show you if you accept his son Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior.

Maybe we both need to pray about our golf scores 😁 I am glad you survived the heart attack!

This is one of the rare things that I can't even think about. I end up literally drawing a blank in my mind. It's like it's just too much of a mystery for me to even begin to understand. Think about it...

Before we were born we were nothing, but try to imagine that. It just seems insane. Now after we die is it just like that? Just blackness forever? What was the point of everything?

If we do have an afterlife then that will be an eternal thing. Now think of that for a second. That's forever. How will that be? To be able to go on forever after death. Will we get bored of being alive for eternity? Will time even pass at the same rate? There are just too many questions so I try to not even think about it.

It's this very line of questioning that opens some people's hearts to the truth, and the meaning for our existence.

Psalm 139:

"14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
Intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
The days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them."

Jeremiah 1:5:
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,..."

Don't be afraid to think or ask questions about your eternity. God made each of us for a purpose, loves us, and longs for us to know Him and live eternally in His presence.

That is the short of it. All one can do in the meantime is to remain insatiably curious and strive to be the best person they can.

My real thoughts on this. You die and become part of the food chain. The end. Regardless of if you're buried or cremated. I think the bible has some good stories that try to teach how to live your life in relationship to everyone around you. I live by the so called golden rule. Not because I want to or strive to, it's just the way I'm wired. This rule was written 4-500 years bc. To me, there is nothing after death. I'm not concerned because I plan to live forever. So far, so good and no one can prove me wrong.

You fixed nothing. You molested a man's words trying to be cute. If you believe differently, just post what you believe. Or are you not that creative?

Somebody got their panties in a wad. Molested? Lighten up Francis.
