My father is going for major surgery tomorrow. Im not relying on science because I am a christian?

Just bizarre the level of marginalization.

The problem is that Christians will use science when it benefits them, but if it even comes close to refuting the origin of life, science has no place. And I am not speaking of all Christians, but I have come across a few.

How are you not speaking of all?

Your personal interaction defines absolute?

Completely different in all aspects if we are taking a biblical stance
Not at all.

Theory is derived from the greek, theoria, meaning contemplation.

Early theologians had many philosphies applying theoria to God. Some speculate that contemplation of God leads to knowledge of God. Others speculated that theoria came from God and created faith in God.

Why cant a christian have a never satisfied thirst for knowledge. Turning unto lg with marginalizations?

Never said that. I respect a Christian that constantly questions his faith and seeks knowledge outside of the Bible.

I think he was calling me simple. Not all Christans.

I don't think you're simple. You asked the question, that's not a simple thing to do for most religious that have been told to never waiver.

I see no problem with presenting it as theory.

I do have a problem presenting big bang as fact not theory.

Cannot have a theory without any observation.

If it isn't testable, it isn't a theory. At best it is a hypothesis.

Science is the search for knowledge. Faith is not knowledge.

Religion and science are for different questions.

You really need to stop making up your own definitions.

4a : a belief, policy, or procedure proposed or followed as the basis of action <her method is based on the theory that all children want to learn> b : an ideal or hypothetical set of facts, principles, or circumstances —often used in the phrase in theory <in theory, we have always advocated freedom for all>
5: a plausible or scientifically acceptable general principle or body of principles offered to explain phenomena <the wave theory of light>
6a : a hypothesis assumed for the sake of argument or investigation b : an unproved assumption : conjecture c : a body of theorems presenting a concise systematic view of a subject <theory of equations>
Origin of THEORY
Late Latin theoria, from Greek theōria, from theōrein
First Known Use: 1592

You'll have to look up theoria for yourself.

Each of those definitions has different applications. Creationism is an abstract thought and a theory, but not a scientific theory. You can't compare Big Bang and ID with the same definition of theory. Learn to dictionary.
