Where are we going bowling most likely?

It's 100% going to be either Outback or Gator or Music City...

The Florida bowls are begging the SEC and Tennessee to come matchup with Michigan/Penn St/Wisconsin/Iowa...tons of fans and $ and TV ratings

The Music City would be some kind of weird fall back for UT if Auburn beats Bama or A&M beats LSU and they lose to Vandy, which is not happening

Not sure the Music City is a fall back since they're ponying up $2M+ more than the Gator Bowl to the SEC. They'll have a good deal of pull in who they want. The Outback has more pull though. That's my hope. Best exposure.
Oddly enough, this is what we need to happen to get the best bowl for TN:
UT over the commode by 30+
LSU flogs A&M
Bama embarrasses the Barn
UF destroys FSU
GA annihilates Tech
GA barely upsets LSU in the SEC Champ game

If those things happen we'd have a strong argument for being the second and an outside argument for 1st pick from the SEC after LSU/GA go to playoffs and Bama & FL go to a New Year's Six. Those two spots would put us either in the Citrus or Outback Bowls.

Think about it, if you're the Citrus or Outback do you really want a 7-5 A&M or an 8-4 Barn after both have lost their last two meaningful games and one is having a serious discussion about firing their coach? A 7-5 UT trending with wins in 6 of their last 7 is an equal or better draw than the two aforementioned teams.

They’d take an 8-5 Auburn in a heartbeat over a 7-5 team in that situation. If Auburn were still ranked after the Alabama loss, it wouldn’t even take a whole beat.

I hear from a reliable media source, Nick Bromberg, the team will have a celebration today at Spare & Strike.

My brother has a friend whose wife has a cousin who once worked for a man whose dog used to be owned by a major booster whose father had a barber that knew a man whose grandfather served in Korea with a chef who worked at a party for a senator who knew a major program’s athletic director whose best man roomed his freshman year with a player who dated a girl that went to the same gym as the wife of a doctor who treated an ESPN analyst who was friends with a bowl representative who said that Tennessee was a lock for a bowl with a “rose-colored” future.

What breed is the dog?

Since the RR moved me down here to Jacksonville two years ago, I haven't gotten to go see the Vols Play. So, I may be a little biased, but I'm hoping for the Gator Bowl.

Need to know what the consensus is. Wanna get tickets but obviously don’t wanna buy tickets to a bowl the Vols don’t go to.

Music city or Gator bowl?
SEC Championship 😁😁😁. I wish, but ill be there to experience it next weekend lol. My guess is Gator Bowl

So, what if one of you really smart guys or gals would give us your likely Vol bowl scenarios.
Just for kicks and giggles.
What I’m looking for is something like the following:
If the Vols and all other SEC favorites win their games this weekend, Tennessee ends up in the ___________ Bowl.
Or, if the SEC gets 2 teams in Playoffs,The Vols will move up one notch in the bowl pecking order to the _________.

Who has that kind of time and interest in playing along?

If bama and LSU make playoff, UGA and Fla in new year's 6, Citrus takes Auburn, TAMu played in Gator Bowl last year, so TAMu in Outback and Vols in Gator. IMO.

if Alabama beats Auburn then that should put the vols in the Citrus Bowl. But I think it's going to be Gator bowl against Michigan. If Tennessee beats Vandy they would be 3rd in the east and could end up 5th over all in the sec

Would there be a possibility of UT vs UT in the Texas bowl if we do not make the Gator or Outback?

The Texas Bowl (allegedly; I'm not sure how it's stated in any contract since Mizzou and Vandy have gone in recent years) has a strong preference for SEC West teams. If UT doesn't make a Florida bowl, it seems to be a given that they'll be playing in Nashville.
