What's the word on Milton?

3rd string
Thanks for the report for inspector Clouseau.

On the other hand, it would not surprise me to see 3 quarterbacks play in the opener (if no one is injured) and Milton goes out 2nd, in my opinion
I just takes one weird play ... ask Jerry Colquitt (vs UCLA) or Tua Tagovailoa (vs Tn) or Myles Brennan (preseason practice?) or Matt Corral (granted it was the Sugar Bowl).
Especially if your QB takes off running down the field and can't slide worth spit or does not know when to get down. We have all seen some of those, am I right!
Anyone have a compilation of horrible quarterback 'slides?'

Some fans in Bama want Saban gone. It’s just the nature of the beast.

They're Bammers, since when have they not ever made sense, but had any sense? In any case as regarding both Bammers and Vols player haters, my real advice is:

As several have said, he could have packed up and transferred, but instead he stayed the course. Like all Vol fans, I was dumbfounded when he ran out of bounds against the Rebels, instead of lowering his shoulder and at least made the effort to get to the end zone. Hopefully, another year of practicing and getting his mind set changed and he could really light it up. That's my hope anyway.
You left out passing ball into the end zone, which is the QB’s #1 priority! It blows my mind how people on here make excuses for this loser that’s been playing football this whole life skating by on his big arm prima donna that doesn’t know how to play! Just like JG it means absolutely nothing if you are a practice quarterback when you make such bad plays in a game! I don’t mean ill will or harm
to the guy but he needs to go somewhere else. The pattern has been set for years. It will not change.

Dude made a mistake plain and simple. You and some others can spin it however you like. Bash him if you want but you look dumb. He made a mistake at a crucial time in the game. He didn’t give up. I believe he thought he had more time. I have seen Rodgers and Brady screw up thinking they had more time. It happens.

Also, one mistake doesn’t define a QBs career.
Heck Dak who gets paid millions screwed up last year in the playoffs with little time on the clock, he ran down the field and slid, giving his team no time to get lined up...game over 49'rs move on

It's really sad to hear such negative comments about a player that's giving his all to Tennessee. The kid could have quit but he stayed loyal to the program. At some point this season we will need him.
He gave his all when he ran out of bounds!!! Scared to get tackled!

Ppl love to bash joe about the play but never bring up the ball he threw to Tillman the play before that should’ve won the game… Tillman makes that play 99/100 just couldn’t get his normal lift in that moment… he made a mistake but he didn’t run from it he stayed and has continued to work to improve his weaknesses and push hooker and make this team better… some of y’all don’t understand that speaks directly to the culture of our team and the character of joe… this is nothing like I’ve ever saw at UT and that excites me… so bash joe if you want but as a human if you can’t respect that then that tells me all I need to know about you… when he gets his chance I’ll be rooting for him the same way I root for anybody that plays for us.

It's typical of Vols player haters. The disease is incurable, you may see a rare but certain level of remission from time to time, but the inflammation flares up repeatedly. Current medical theory is that it is a product of a self-righteous attitude of egoistical assumed self-perfection, accompanied by a tendency to harshly and perpetually judge players who exhibit the slightest human imperfection. They will always suffer Vol player hateritis, and there's nothing you can do for them. Except watch the disease run its looping course.

These players are grown men. It's ok to critize a player. They will survive, and it does not make you better fan to defend every player.

Never said I was a better fan, but if you want to think I am--why thank you, vols 30. The compliment is overly, even outlandishly lavish, but thank you just the same. Wanna share my sammish?

I'm hoping coach Heupel transforms him into an NFL caliber QB. I don't think he will unseat Hooker as the starting QB this year - Hooker is just such a natural fit for what coach Heupel wants to run. But if Milton competes for the starting QB job in 2023 and then can make an NFL roster that would speak volumes as to Heuplel's ability to develop QBs.

I've made plenty of mistakes however that wasn't a mistake that was giving up big difference.
How do you know he gave up? Maybe he simply lost track of time? Big difference and I can’t imagine that he gave up on the play.
