WhatifSports.com prediction through week 3

I am sure some of you are aware of What if Sports. They simulate every college game 10,000 times and take the composite victories and scores and average them out. It has been pretty accurate when I have checked it in the past. I thought you may be interested to see where they have the Vols after three weeks

Week 1
TN 45 WKU 4 TN wins 95% of the time

Week 2
TN 25 UCLA 9 TN wins 90.7% of the time

Week 3...
TN 7 FL 49 FL wins 95% of the time

Any thoughts on these scores?

I think they look possible...think we hold UF to a couple TD's less besides that could happen.

I would bet my house that WKU won't score exactly 4 pts. Any takers?

Depends if Crompton and the offense starts inside their own 5. You have to take into consideration he could "trip" over the center twice down there.

Yeah, I thought that was funny too. Of course, that is the composite of all the scores so if you play 10,000 games with a few scores being 0, 3, & 7 points, I suppose it averages out to 4.

looks liek Florida should cover the early line

1&2 look about right---BUT---FL-38--TN-20.

I think that the Florida score is a bit skewed. I'm hoping the other two are correct as that would be a good start in our first two games and give us some momentum.

We will NOT get demolished by Florida this year if we lose. It will be by 14 points or less. I think Monte's D isn't going to let Florida get to 30 points and hopefully Crompton throws some nice strikes.

FLA wins 95% of the time? Hey, that still leaves 5%. So you're saying we have a chance?

On a serious note, no way FLA beats us by 42. It just isn't going to happen. They may win by 2 or 3 TD's, but not 6.

I am thinking 3 or 4 TD's. I agree, 6 is a lot.

The last game Kiffin coached in the NFL he "let" the Raiders score 31 points. It's not out of the realm of possibility that the third game coached under his system that he has more than 30 points scored on him.

Monte's D or not, Tennessee has to find a way to put 31 or more points on the board if we want any chance of winning.

45 to 4? WKU has a better chance of beating us than actually getting two safties. What is this garbage?

so they are saying that we are so undermatched against FLA, that we will barely put up a fight better then WKU put against us? that makes no damned sense

So their giving us a 5% chance. That's all I needed. That's about the same chance that was given to memphis in 96 or 97 of beating UT

Given how much we're likely to run the ball, UF is probably only going to get about 9 or 10 possessions in the game. The only way they're likely to get to 50 points is if we help them out by turning the ball over a bunch of times or letting Brandon James kill us again.
