There's no way he's a UT fan. Brent yes, Clay hell no. He's a Vandy Law School grad for crying out loud. Takes shots at UT even when no opportunity exist. I don't care how many pics he posts of himself in Neyland. Big time James Franklin loving Vandy homer.
I like Clay
Clay is a UT fan. He takes shots at UT because it gets people talking about him. Hence this thread even existing.
He also gives props to James Franklin constantly because he knows it riles UT fans up.
A lot of Vols fans I know don't like him. I guess because he doesn't drink the Kool aid and calls things the way he see's them. It gets people fired up!
Clay disappoints me. I really don't know what point he's trying to prove with his snarky, condescending, articles and tweets although many of them are hilarious (see top 10 dumbest fan bases). He wrote a wonderful book that I read last year, "On Rocky Top", which really made him he seem like a UT fan. I think that he, like me and many others, was a big time Fulmer supporter who lost a lot of faith, trust, and confidence in the program following Fulmer's firing. I think he will start openly supporting Tennessee once we start winning again.
His radio show remains one of my deciding factors in moving back to Knoxville from Middle Tennessee a couple years back.
I couldn't continue residing in a populace that would support that radio show. I simply no longer belonged in my hometown.
Sad really. Clay is an imbecile of the highest order. He and Wes Rucker could have offspring that would threaten eternal dominance of utter stupidity

It was a joke, sattire, overstatement for the sake of humor. To base your decision to move to another city on a local sports talk radio station, even in part, only further proves my points against you since the Gruden debacle.
Like it or not, Clay is excellent at what he does. Outkickthecoverage.com is growing at an exponential rate, and gets more views than even ESPN on some days! He will soon become nationally syndicated (within 5 years, especially with the continued rise of the SEC). He is frequently on the DP show, a well respected broadcast that I doubt would have an 'imbecile of the highest order' on their show. In addition, he is a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School, which is, whether you would like to admit it or not, a top 20 law program. To call this guy an 'imbecile' only shows that you are an imbecile.
Clay is not the joke buddy, you are.
Long live Gruden, btw. :hi:
