What Traditions will Kiffin keep?

I think the 1940's uniforms, need to get a new look....add more black to the uniforms. Also do something with those ugly ass high school helmets. We just look so high school like and have for the last 50 years or better. Change is sometimes better. Just take a look at our Basketball Coaching Change, that speaks in volumes.

How old are you? 10?

High school helmets? What kind of change would you like to see? Please don't say orange face masks.

 Sure, let's do away with one of the most recognized and distiguished logos in college athletics. What do you suggest, bringing back leather helmuts?

Man, what a waste of a first post.

Welcome to VN. :hi:

Tennessee Drill, Running thru the T, Checkerboard endzones, and volwalk (although what kind of tradition is it when 90% of the schools in the country do it?)

Beat UF, Bama, Ga on a 60% basis and he can have the players wearing orange helmets with a script Vols on the side for all I care. "just win baby" oops...wrong quote! sorry.

Add more black? When did black become part of UT's color scheme? The school colors are orange and white, not Halloween. Tradition is one of the things players and fans love most about Tennessee football!

Orgeron Ducks ! Get it?
Spruse up the uniforms. Lets have 3 different color helmets.

Please. Class and dignity are important. The uniforms are great. The best in the country (Penn ST)

the only thing i can honestly see kiffin dropping is the maxims

No way.

The Maxims ring true regardless of which scheme you run; they are immutable fundamentals of the game. If you fail in any one of them, chances are you will get your azz beat.

CLK will start a new tradition of wearing black uni's like THE RAIDERS! Sorry, couldn't resist Go Vols.:):)

There are those of us who think the Raiders have the best looking uniforms in all sports.

:dance2:

not saying they aren't. just that i wouldn't be surprised to see them dropped since kiffin is such an outsider to the program.

I think it'd be cool to do like an orange square checkerboard helmet reward system. Like what Richt has with the dog bones at UGA, and the buckeyes at OSU, and all those other ones.

Just tiny little orange squares or something, haha. Hell, idk.

Maybe little Power T's

If Kiffin wins at UT, he could start a lot of new traditions. Also if he wins, the old traditions shouldn't be an issue.

I'd like to see all black uni's with orange numbers/lettering and orange/white stripes for accents... but only during Halloween week. I think it would be something the players could always look forward to as excitement. I know when I played football, there was always one color combination that only got used once in a season, I don't think we ever lost that game because everyone on the team was always pumped up because of it. I know it may sound cheesy, but psychologically it does work to get players excited.
