What recruits will change their mind?

UT should go after the linebacker just decommitted from Mizzou. he is a four star that is 6' 1"-228 and 4.6 in the fourty. He said he would listen to anyone that wants to talk.

He's that goof that you wouldn't take a top notch QB in this class?

If you got the chance to watch the elite 11 then you would see that this kid was inpressing with a broken thumb on his throwing hand. He's tough and fairly mobile and can sling it, so don't get turned off by the three star ranking. Also he bleeds orange and white now and all of those things in a QB create a tremendous potential to be great.

It will a sad day in Volnation if Gruden turns out to be Mike Sherman. We may get the talent, but what of the results? I just want to win. Whoever can get the best athletes and teach them how to win is the perfect candidate.

this has absolutely nothing to do with the OPs question.

Dooley did a good job in setting us up a good foundation with quality recruits. Now all that's left is that we needed to win, or have the promise of winning. Gruden gives us that.

I would say that it is not out of the realm that we could get:

1. Derrick Green
2. Derrick Henry
3. Marquez North
4. Carl Lawson
5. Jalen Ramsey
6. Levenberry
7. Frank Herron

Just for starters. I don't see why not. I could see Gruden doing a LOT of work in a month or two. He'll work fast, but he will get them.

Dont forget about about the possibility of hatcher, alexander, bell, etc. there are alot of guys that will give UT a big chance to get them IMO

We need a good smattering of 4* and some 5*. All 4 or 5 stars is a bit much to expect. Also, everybody who has already committed, we need to keep, regardless of whether they are 2*, 3*, sleepers or athletes. Also, we need to touch base with all of them as much as the NCAA will allow.

Lawson would be awesome.

Sherman never won a SB in 6 seasons at Green Bay with Favre.

Gruden won a SB at Tampa Bay in season 1 with Brad Johnson.

Mike Sherman is no Jon Gruden.

The new coach should not be hamstrung from the beginning by having to keep the unqualified commitments left from the dooley selection process. We need all our spots for the best that new coach can get. Even dooley told certain commitments during his years to look elsewhere when he was able to move up in talent.

Everybody's gut feeling: Is Gruden really a done deal or a pipe dream?????

Gruden announcement Saturday, $50M over 8 years...11 prospects targeted that JG will personally visit immediately. Ergen was the leader in making it happen. Tee will be on the staff.

He said he would never ever pass it along unless he thought it was 100% rock solid.

TIFWIW...

Get the GrudenShine ready...the Pumps are PRIMED!

I was told Monday but who knows they may have moved it up. This is going down folks. John Gruden will be the Head Football Coach at the University of Tennessee.

I think Vonn Bell, Todd Kelly, Jr. and the Berry bros. would also like this hire.

I'm hoping we can get Morris, North, Green, Koehler, Ramsey, Herron, Levenberry and Bell...add that to a base of current commits that consists of Sanders, Harris, Ferguson, Patrick, Smith, Jackson, Kendrick, Maybin, Carr, Bradley, Vereen, Zanca, Sutton and Goeas...

That's my perfect class...fingers crossed

Word is he's been studying up on Chip Kelly's spread offense since he's been out of coaching. I wouldn't expect his complicated pro offense necessarily.

I would think (and hope) a mixture of both and a few new innovative wrinkles he may have up his sleeve.
