-Score 35. That has to happen for us to beat TN. It can happen if we do not turn the ball over and we run effectively enough to keep UT's offense off the field. We have the ability to score 35 and hold them to 34 or less. Go do it.

-You've all got a week to get your minds prepared for the big loss on sloppy-drop. Don't waste any of your time being optimistic

-I don't ever think we don't have a chance. Our OL and RBs are top notch. Yes WR seems weak but they get open enough to help if we hit them. Our chance is 275 plus rushing 125 passing.

-We haven’t thrown a td pass all year (except to KY). Going to be real tough to score 35.

-We can win. I don’t expect us to play like we did against USF. However, we must get something from Richardson…at least a few key 3rd down passes. Go gators!

-I call it the Kentucky plan: win ugly. Pray for Tennessee turnovers. Assume AR tosses 2 INTs, so get the yelling out of your system now and just shrug your shoulders when it happens in the game. Wait for the Vols to make a critical error late in the game.

-What would make the week complete would be a CB saying “ducks don’t pull trucks.”

-Swap Hooker for Richardson, and I am sure Tennessee's game plan is virtually identical.

-Game day there too. Ugh. And then depression set in and it was a long dark winter...

-My mistake through three games has been to wait for something to click in Richardson. For this game I will assume nothing clicks, and the game plan has to work regardless. Something about Tennessee brings out the craziest plays.

-UT plays very fast, IMO UF will need to control some clock and keep their offense off the field. If they run 90 some plays I doubt that will be good for the Gators.

-This game will either officially bury AR or redeem him in the eyes of the fan base. There will be no gray area here.

-Neyland is ready to erupt. That stadium will be channeling a decade and a half of hate. I don't know that there will be a more hostile environment in college football this year. Realistically, I think it is going to get ugly.

-Meh…it is what it is at this point. UF wins, they still have a lot of work to do. UF loses, they still have a lot of work to do.

-To add to this potential nightmare, College Game Day is going to be there and they don't like us either. Lee Corso will put on that stupid dog head and those people will go nuts.

-Unless we accept the fact that this is a ground and pound team. Run Etienne, Johnson, Etienne, Johnson, mix in Richardson. No Wright. Love the little guy but he doesn’t fit the mold. Make Etienne a double threat by checking down short passes to him. Maybe some screen plays. The guy is and can be a threat in the short pass game. I’m not going to get upset though because I expected 6+ losses this season. Always penciled utoohless as a loss. Napier warned the fans to be patient. We are going to have a Saban like year 1 this season except without the UL Monroe type loss which we avoided against USF thankfully.

-We can't stop the run or defend the pass, we're going to get our asses handed to us.

-Don't kid yourselves, Tennessee is going to put a beating on us.

-If we're going to beat Tennessee, someone is going to have sneak in their locker room and put Tiger Balm in their jock straps. They put 63 on Akron, Hooker looks like Tom Brady for Gods Sake.

-Kyle Trask ain't walking through that door fellas, prepare for the worst.

-We're going 6-6, get used to it.

-Tennessee will have to turn it over 4-5 times, simple as that. Otherwise, we lose by 3-4 scores, stop the delusion.

-Florida is capable of 300 plus yards rushing against UT, it has to happen.

-Quit doubting. Utah is leaps and bounds better than Tennessee. Acting like we have no shot is foolish.

From florida.forums.rivals

-Josh Heupel is an excellent offensive coach. They snap the ball faster than any team in D1 and unless the Gators can control the ball our defense will be out of gas the latter part of both halves.

-You need to have more faith. Richardson shouldn't be as tight playing on the road (won't be worrying about looking good to his hometown crowd) and he has already dealt with a large hostile road crowd so he has some experience with dealing with the noise.

-The way that we played the last two games, I think it's going to be a long night in Knoxville.

-Those hillbillies will pack that place and will be jacked up on testosterone and moonshine…

-Maybe I'll get better but I see Tennessee by about 20 right now.

-UT just lost their best receiver against Akron, but, Neyland will be a huge home field advantage next week.

-55-13 Vols

-Unfortunately all good things and streaks come to an end and then you have to start new ones. See Kentucky. The issue we are going to have is our defense isn’t very good to begin with but even more concerning is we have no depth and we don’t get 3 and outs and UT runs that up tempo offense. It really isn’t a good match up.

From SECRANT
-I would be surprised if Tennessee doesn't win by at least 17, but I do think Florida will be improved from week 2.

-Florida defense doesn't have the depth to finish this game if they manage to keep it close. Gators would need to crush them early to punk the Vols out of a win.

-This will be a 38-17 game for Tennessee

-I'm not liking the Gators' chances especially barely beating USF and now going on to the road against a team that could surprise people until Georgia smacks them to reality.

If this game goes the way that most see it going, Neyland and surrounding areas will be the scene of the most chaotic post game celebration in recent memory. there is more on the line than this one game, it is a potential turning of a very dark corner that has taken a very long time...

Game Day tee Shirts on Cumberland should have

Version 1 "Channeling a Decade and a Half of Hate" on back and a Checker Neyland logo/pic on front with a big Go Vols!

Version 2 " Hillbilly Jacked up on Moonshine" (cartoon man with a still on Rocky top design) on the back with Checker Neyland Logo/pic on front with a big Go Vols! on the front.

Rock painters need these two for designs too. If someone knows them..please pass these 2 gems along

Two parts of Florida will be the best TN has played all year; the RB’s and the OL. But that’s about it. The AR that showed up against LSU last year and Utah this year, seems to be a distant anomaly. And truth be known, something is up with his right ankle, physically. He hurt it against KY and aggravated it vs SFL. Take AR’s legs away and you take a huge part of his effectiveness. Injury seems to have already minimized him.

Florida’s defense played very well versus KY and very well for the 1st half vs Utah, but they were complete garbage vs USF and for the second half of Utah.

A question that we may need to ask, how do we think a Florida-Pitt matchup or a Tennessee-Utah matchup would fair? I know applying transitive property to games and matchups doesn’t usually work, but it’s interesting to consider here. I think those matchups would be close, competitive games. So then, why wouldn’t TN-FL be the same?

Ultimately, I think TN’s home field advantage and the fact that their offense is the best of the 4 units on the field, means they win this game. But I do think Florida may have enough pride, mixed with good athletes, to keep it relatively close. Florida is also very battle tested already; three games that were nail biters, I also recognize TN was battle tested at Pitt.

In the end, it’s just Tennessee’s year.

FL isn't so cocky this year are they😎 We need to go in Saturday and handle business. I'm glad it's not a night game, less time to see what other teams are doing and less time of our guys to over think FL.

I hope CJH has schemed up and opens the PB against FL, we know tons of fake injuries are coming this game so we have to scheme for that. This is a must win IMO
What I fear is Richardson gets pulled and their backup comes in and has a lights out night...
GBO!!!

Hillbilly in orange and white overalls, drinking corn from a jar, sitting beside a fire with a gator on the spit.

I hate florida. (Does not include all of our gator visitors here, some of y'all are okay.)

Wasn’t aware of his injury. Could be a good reason he has been limited. But truth be told the only game I watched Florida play was Utah. Florida has athletes per usual. They lack depth, but it really depends how our offense decides to open the game. If they catch a rhythm early, that’s trouble for your defense. Expect TN to blitz a lot. Your RBs look really good. Etienne is already a stud as a FR.

I am worried about the running game, Small and Samson had what looked like minor injuries and Wright has fumbled in 2 games. I see 2 stuffed runs and 3rd and 10's in our near future. Maybe Huepel will use the sideline passes to open up the downfield stuff? They need to put 45 on them and hope the defense hangs on. UT 45 UF 35

It's just time. I grew up a Vol fan, and I always hated Bama the most. But, then I was a college student in the 90s, and there's just no way you go through that without the Gators taking a front row seat on the hate train. I can barely stand to see a pic of Spurrier even if he is wearing a USCjr visor. The hate for the Gators is just a special kind of hate. I've been to a lot of UT Florida games.....some great wins that included goal posts in the river, some really tough losses....I don't think anything will ever eliminate the hate I have for the Gators and every single one of their jort wearing fans. You always hear the pendulum swings both ways, but that thing has been defying gravity for way too long lately (and yeah, I know, I was in Neyland in 2016). There are very few teams that deserve the kind of beat down that this offense is capable of putting on someone more than the Gators. I don't care what the scoreboard says, keep punching them in the face every play for 60 minutes.

You saw the quotes from Heupel. He knows that Volunteer Football means something to those of us who have never and will never run through the T. We care. We show up every fall Saturday no matter what the record, no matter what the opponent, and teach anyone who doesn't already know every single word to Rocky Top. Those Gators are about to walk into the single most intense environment in sports. I know you guys, and I know you'll be there making them pay every single second that they have the ball. This game is about way more than who has the better football team, it's about all of us. It's about the last 20 years of Vol Football. It's about reminding everyone who owns Neyland. It's about bleeding Orange. It's about calling up the General's ghost and taking the fight to someone for 60 minutes. It's about Tennessee.

Pitt would beat the crap out of y’all. This years gator team is very vulnerable to the run game. Tennessee I think would be a handful for Utah as would most decent sec teams with speed at every position. All that said it’s always a task to beat Florida and Heupel better get it done this year bc it won’t get easier going forward.
