Sorry it took me longer to do this one. Defeated and not very confident in Saturday for obvious reasons and dealing with selling a house/upgrades in Louisiana hasn't been fun dealing with it from TN.

Obviously, no one gives UT a chance and I am one of them. They have been watching Volnation and have liked the Bama betting line thread for their fans enjoyment.
Saban is very fond of CJP. He will hold the horses down early. Also, our 2nd and 3rd strings need the practice... ;)
There is a certain level of satisfaction from pulling the reigns back and showing mercy. Like taking a knee on 3rd and goal just to run out the clock.
Well, hes not wrong
That can be a double-edged sword. See volnation now. It's like going to a funeral because you're depressed.
Agreed, but during the Alabama suspension era you had common enemies (NCAA, SEC and Fulmer/TN). The Vols are eating their own right now. That is tough to go through.
@Freak---These are fighting words.
16 years later, here we are, with the best CFB board on the net.
They are coming apart at the seams. I love it. Too Too may need to be disciplined a little. They just fired a coach for what some say may have been a similar statement.
I don't doubt that our players had internal Tua vs. Jalen conversations, but losing brings out the worst in people. Pruitt needs to send a message that this is not okay before he loses control. His starting QB might not change for Saturday, but his starting LB sure needs to.
That this was put out there means he's already lost control. It's too late to send messages. He's in year 3 now and this stuff is still happening.

I hate Tennessee, and I realize they've got recruiting issues that simply cannot be overcome. Yet I'm beginning to feel Pruitt is not a realistic answer to who would replace Coach Saban, several years from now of course.
Next week’s game is in Knoxville and it is now Sunday there so it is officially Tennessee week. Or Thirteenessee week.

Kentucky beat them by 27. We can’t let a basketball school outdo us in that regard. With Phil as AD, we have extra motivation to steamroll them.

From lurking on their boards some fans seem to have thrown in the towel on the season and some are souring on Pruitt. I am sure their spirits will be revived with a big rivalry game so we need to be the windshield to those bugs.

Well at least someones optimistic. I dont think they looked ahead, but i think they just took a whoopin'
One thing I'll remind you - they may well have looked so awful today simply because they were looking ahead.

Take nothing for granted with these guys. Although I'm sure they miss those schedules every year where they got an off week and we got a tough opponent.
I love the red and orange leaves of an October Saturday

I love a classic rivalry

But I can never forget nor forget the stain that Phil Fulmer has put on a classic rivalry. The Streak can never get high enough for me. Nor can the smoke from the cigars from the fans dressed in crimson smell sweet enough. Long live the Streak.
I hate Tennessee but the game experience is good, especially the Band marching into the stadium. Fans were nice as well.
Ill make gaps in my teeth if it means getting back to relevance and competing for NCs
They’re nice only because they’ve been beaten down. Believe me, when they are winning, they’re among the most obnoxious gap-toothed products of crimes against nature on the face of the earth.
I would also do this and not apologize to get back to playing great football that's been missing for far too long
I seriously hope it gets to the point to where their fans want to shut down the program and the rivalry. Had they not applauded Fulmer’s actions and got fat and happy on what they did to our program then my hatred towards Tennessee would be more directed at Fulmer, but no it’s directed at the whole rotting corpse that is the Tennessee program and fan base. Auburn is an annoying little brother, LSU is annoying cousin, but Tennessee is the neighbor that hits on your wife right in front of you after driving donuts on your lawn.
Its not surprising that their fans predict a blowout of at least 3TDs (the closest score I seen)
Meh, I'll be disappointed if we only win by 20.

Of course, we could be up by 100 and I'd be disappointed if Saban took a knee instead of going for one more score...
:-D
That article reminded me that Mac got his first significant playing time against TN last year because of Tua's ankle injury. Mac did not play well, but that is because Pruitt just pinned his ears back and came after Mac play after play.

This version of Mac Jones is a major upgrade over that version. Pruitt will again come after him, but it won't matter.
Score sounds about right, especially since our defense is still making mistakes and TN QB will probably have the best game of his career. lol.

I want Mac to reach the 400 yards passing mark, but also think Bryce Young needs to play most all the 4th quarter. He really needs the experience in case Mac gets injured at some point. Trey Sanders needs lots of reps too.

Right now the weather forecast shows rain/storms. Hope that changes. I worry about injuries each game but especially when it rains. Turnovers too (in the rain).
UT is in for a world of hurt Saturday. I heard that the ahh score in Knoxville during this streak is UA 42 UTe 14. It doesn’t feel that close either. I look for BAMA to put it on then again.
I think UT will play with a little fire...... for awhile........then Bama will take over. I will take a win anyway I can get it, but I think Bama puts it on them....... as do the Vol fans
Overall, the board is just a lot more of them talking about the pathetic state of the program after Saturday and how they're going to steamroll UT Saturday.

I've never seen a more butt hurt group of posters in my life. They are winning year in/out but, from the sample above, they appear to be caught up on stuff from 16 years ago. I'm not condoning what Fulmer did as I am sure our program wasn't the beacon of cleanliness, but they would have (and may have) done the same thing to us or other rivals..... Immature and exactly what you'd expect from them. They are probably still mourning Harvey Updike too....

Funny thing is most of those Bama fans couldn't name the 3 coaches before Saban without googling it, easy to be a Bama fan

I used to get a kick out of asking Bama "fans" who the coach was right before Saban and over half would say "Bear Bryant". The sad thing is Shula, Franchione, Curry, Dubose, Stallings, and the Bear's corpse would be an improvement over the past decade of our hires.....

Remember, it wasn't Saban that could take down Hugh Freeze - it was the 3 Bama grads that investigated Ole Miss after Freeze beat them back to back years....

I still can't believe that Bama is crying and blaming Fulmer for the Albert Means debacle. Jackie Sherrill (Mississippi State), Houston Nutt (Arkansas) , RIp Scherer (Memphis), Jim Donnan (Georgia) and Phil Fulmer (Tennessee) all reported wrong doings to the NCAA. Stating Lynn Lang (Means' H.S. Coach) want $200K for Albert Means to play for a school.

But to this date there is zero accountability for wrongdoing by Bama in the eyes of their fans. It was all Phillip Fulmer's fault.
  1. Lang brokered a deal with several Alabama boosters in the Memphis area where he received $30,000 from the boosters. The remaining $170K was paid after Means officially signed with Bama.
  2. Lang demanded $6,000 in cash from a Kentucky booster in the presence of a Kentucky assistant coach Claude Bassett for Means to visit Kentucky.
  3. In similar fashion Lang received $4,000 for each visit he arranged to Georgia and Alabama.
  4. Jim Donnan gave Lang $700 out of pocket.
  5. Rip Sherer promised free law school tuition.
  6. Brad Lawing (Michigan State) said Lang demanded $200K to play at MSU, and that Lang would repay $50K that had already paid for Means.
  7. Houston Nutt stated that Lang told his assistant coach that $200K was required to secure Means' enrollment.
  8. Albert Means testified in Lang's trial that he never took the required standardized test for college admission. Means went on testify that Lang had another student take the test for him.
  9. Federal Prosecutors provided evidence that Lang tried to sell Means to eight schools:
    • Alabama
    • Arkansas
    • Georgia
    • Kentucky
    • Memphis
    • Michigan State
    • Mississippi State
    • Tennessee
But because Fulmer testified, it's al his fault. Zero accountability for the Crimson Tide.

Alabama will steamroll TN this weekend, they could very well break 50 and UT may score naught more than a field goal in the 4th qtr.....this is where the Tennessee Football Program is under the Pruitt regime in year 3, none of the games that UT has played up to this point this season is a fluke. It is what it is........I wish I could say that UT has a punchers chance or they could get motivated and give Bama a good game, but I cant and that saddens me.......

Saban could score 100+ on us if he wanted to. It'll be something like 35-0 at half time and then he'll throw in the 3rd stringers. The score will end up being 40 something to 10 or 14.

I take their continued hate of Tennessee and Fulmer as a sign of respect. The fact that they still seem to hate him means that they haven't moved passed it despite all the success they've had. You don't hold anger against someone or something that is totally irrelevant to you.

It be disrespectful if when Fulmer's name is brought up, their response was something like "Who cares, that was such a long time ago and they're irrelevant now." I love the fact that they still hate Fulmer with a passion.

They hate Fulmer because he beat their ass. If Fulmer had went 2-14 against them, they wouldn't care.
Not only did he beat their ass, but he helped rat out their program too. They don't think that any of that was their fault - they think it is just Fulmer's fault. That's why their rage still burns against him, even more so than the fact that he beat them a lot.

It's depressing seeing that other fans actually notice our apathy and depressions and actively feel bad for how miserable we are. It's sad when your rivals mostly just pity you rather than hate you because they know you are no threat to their program.

The hypocrisy here is if they don't think Sankey and Emmert listen Saban's bidding they are the pinnacle of being naive. I refuse to believe it is just a coincidence Freeze beats Bama *** in '14 and '15 and starts getting the players Bama wants....then the NCAA and SEC come sniffing around.

Silver Lining Alert folks ... Pruitt is no longer likely to be poached when Nick retires.

You really think there were those who believed he would be? LOL. You think Bama replaces the GOAT with someone like Pruitt? When Saban retires, Bama will have their pick of whatever HC they want. They will get a bonafide, big time winning HC. I would be willing to bet almost any HC worth their salt in CF would give up their job immediately to coach at Bama.
