What Other Message Boards are Saying- Bama

The Tide boosters are still mad about what happened 16 years ago. Despite the fact that they were guilty. They see nothing wrong with money under the table. I worked for one of their biggest boosters for 4 years. We had players on our payroll that drew pay checks every week. They were supposed to be sales people. We never saw them. They never sold a thing. That kind of crap is still going on today. It is a way of life down there. They are mad a Fulmer because he told the truth. Like I said they see nothing wrong with what happened. In their eyes Fulmer should have just kept his mouth shut. SMH I would bet everything I own the Tide's payroll is higher than some NFL teams.

It’s sad that none of our main rivals takes us seriously anymore.

Serious question:

Why should they?

When the fans controlled the outcome of a coaching search we cant get it right.
When we dont care what the fat cats do the fans get Dooley or Butch
When we recruit well the most important position QB never pans out (with the exception of Dobbs)
We havent beaten anyone of value in many years. I dont count the always over rated big ten teams

Maybe 1 day before I die Tennessee will get it right. Im 33

[quoting from the Bama board] ... Auburn is an annoying little brother, LSU is annoying cousin, but Tennessee is the neighbor that hits on your wife right in front of you after driving donuts on your lawn.

Tennessee fan: "Wait, I thought I was hitting on your sister."

Bama fan: *grimaces and frowns*

Tennessee fan: "Oh. ... OOOOOH!"

Tennessee fans: "lolololololol"

To be fair, Schiano would have been a bad hire based on the fact that he's a terrible head football coach.

Im not saying what the fans did was wrong at all. They got tired of the same coach and forced their hand, It needed to be done and with Fulmer I think we will be better off in the long run.
At some point though Pruitt has to earn his check. While I dont think its happening this season theres at least a chance next season to get one with a few more pieces on the board.

Schiano isnt an awful coach. If he was our 5th or 6th choice (like CJP), there wouldnt have been such an outrage. The fact that he was the 1st choice and cheap, that's what caused Schiano Sunday.

Sorry it took me longer to do this one. Defeated and not very confident in Saturday for obvious reasons and dealing with selling a house/upgrades in Louisiana hasn't been fun dealing with it from TN.

Obviously, no one gives UT a chance and I am one of them. They have been watching Volnation and have liked the Bama betting line thread for their fans enjoyment.

Well, hes not wrong

@Freak---These are fighting words.

Well at least someones optimistic. I dont think they looked ahead, but i think they just took a whoopin'

Ill make gaps in my teeth if it means getting back to relevance and competing for NCs

I would also do this and not apologize to get back to playing great football that's been missing for far too long

Its not surprising that their fans predict a blowout of at least 3TDs (the closest score I seen)

Overall, the board is just a lot more of them talking about the pathetic state of the program after Saturday and how they're going to steamroll UT Saturday.
that is what i really love about bama fans, nothing changes, yall are still the sorriest pieces of **** now, an 20 years ago, i hope covid wipes out every body in the state of bama, the best thing about bama is I-59 north

You really think there were those who believed he would be? LOL. You think Bama replaces the GOAT with someone like Pruitt? When Saban retires, Bama will have their pick of whatever HC they want. They will get a bonafide, big time winning HC. I would be willing to bet almost any HC worth their salt in CF would give up their job immediately to coach at Bama.

Calm down and forgive me for saving on the blue font. 😒🤣

LOL at the guy that said Pruitt should bench To’o To’o for saying we need a new QB.
“His starting QB might not change for Saturday, but his starting LB sure needs to.”

It's painful to read all that with the understanding that you can't refute any of it, and there's nothing your team can do about it.

I still can't believe that Bama is crying and blaming Fulmer for the Albert Means debacle. Jackie Sherrill (Mississippi State), Houston Nutt (Arkansas) , RIp Scherer (Memphis), Jim Donnan (Georgia) and Phil Fulmer (Tennessee) all reported wrong doings to the NCAA. Stating Lynn Lang (Means' H.S. Coach) want $200K for Albert Means to play for a school.

But to this date there is zero accountability for wrongdoing by Bama in the eyes of their fans. It was all Phillip Fulmer's fault.
  1. Lang brokered a deal with several Alabama boosters in the Memphis area where he received $30,000 from the boosters. The remaining $170K was paid after Means officially signed with Bama.
  2. Lang demanded $6,000 in cash from a Kentucky booster in the presence of a Kentucky assistant coach Claude Bassett for Means to visit Kentucky.
  3. In similar fashion Lang received $4,000 for each visit he arranged to Georgia and Alabama.
  4. Jim Donnan gave Lang $700 out of pocket.
  5. Rip Sherer promised free law school tuition.
  6. Brad Lawing (Michigan State) said Lang demanded $200K to play at MSU, and that Lang would repay $50K that had already paid for Means.
  7. Houston Nutt stated that Lang told his assistant coach that $200K was required to secure Means' enrollment.
  8. Albert Means testified in Lang's trial that he never took the required standardized test for college admission. Means went on testify that Lang had another student take the test for him.
  9. Federal Prosecutors provided evidence that Lang tried to sell Means to eight schools:
    • Alabama
    • Arkansas
    • Georgia
    • Kentucky
    • Memphis
    • Michigan State
    • Mississippi State
    • Tennessee
But because Fulmer testified, it's al his fault. Zero accountability for the Crimson Tide.

That's because Fulmer beat them 7 or 8 times in a row.

Only one I would doubt is Dabo. I could be wrong, but I think he'd stay at Clemson.

unless he's offered the GDP of a medium-sized South American country

Reading their boards, it's hilarious how they believe Fulmer is basically the God Father, lol. Many believe he's the reason Pruitt fired Brumbaugh. Not even kidding.

I can't belive how all these year later, how bad we've been and how great they've been, and PF is still living rent free in their heads.

If past patterns repeat, Bama will play better in Neyland than they do at home, in Tuscaloosa. However, if the Vols recover and score on six Bama turnovers, well, the offense should be able to eat enough clock to provide for an epic upset.

What do fans of a good football team talk about on their message boards? I honestly don’t know what that’s like

If they are anything like us, I am sure they find something to be negative about.

"I can't believe we only scored 45 points. We need a new OC."
