It's pretty obvious Hurd doesn't have the speed of a Gurley. Gurley was taking it to the house constantly from 50+ yards. Hurd usually gets ran down from behind after about 30 yards or so. That doesn't mean Hurd isn't very, very good, because he is, he's just not a homerun hitter type RB.
Yep, I didn't come over hear to criticize Hurd but comparing him to Gurley isn't fair to him at this point. Gurley was a top ten pick and the first RB selected in the draft coming off a torn acl just 5 mths prior to his selection. That doesn't happen if the kid isn't really special.
