There's nothing quite as awesome as pledging about $5k worth of business to a company and then two days later they call you back and basically say "**** you, we aren't interested in your business." The whole thing is just annoying. I took the afternoon off work to run around Knoxville pre-ordering them at every store, and now I'm going to have to spend another full day running around to each one getting my money back. They told me I have about a week to get it done, otherwise they'll cancel all my orders, including the two they've so generously allowed me to keep, and simply issue me a giftcard in the amount of the deposits I put down.
I went to the store in the mall yesterday, and of course they didn't have a $100 bill and wouldn't come off the $20's they had in the register and issued my $200 refund fully in $5's they had under the counter. Awesome. The manager at the Clinton Hwy store who called me basically acted like I was some sort of deviant who should be ashamed of what I did and that I was lucky I was still going to get one of each console. Needless to say, I'll pay off the two systems they've let me keep simply because buying them from GS is a means to an end, but the penny that pays those off will be the final penny GameStop will ever see from me. If they don't want my business, I'll be happy to oblige them.
