what next gen console are you getting and why

each game 'can only be given once' is strange as hell to me.

is that only if you "give" the game away. What if you sell it? can the new owner still have the option of giving it away once? how is this tracked?

Basically sounds like you have to "share" your games through the cloud...which I suppose means each shared game will have to be individually downloaded and take up space on the HDD. Hopefully this doesn't consume as much time as I think it will.

I don't really want to participate in the console smack talk business anymore, but I will say that Microsoft really doesn't seem able to get their **** together right now. I will likely get the PS4 first.

i'm curious now how much MS will charge for the cloud storage. i'm sure they'll give you enough space for a couple of games but i'd imagine to really take advantage of playing somewhere other than home there will be some fee involved

Good point... I didn't think about that. Will definitely be interesting to see how this all plays out

I like my 360 TONS more than my PS3. I'm talking, it's not even close to close. HOWEVER, I'd almost rather get a PS4 because of the whole fear of the unknown. At least I know what I'd be getting.

As someone who purchased 6 360s (3 teenagers + me + consoles dying) and 1 PS3 this generation I am going to do the opposite this generation. I already pre-ordered 2 PS4s, and will pick another 2 next year. I will end up getting a XBox One in a couple of years for so my kids can play Halo, but we are finished with the XBox as our main cnnsole. Many reasons why for me, (the RROD nightmare this generation, the age limits thing on XBL, PS+ is by far a better value, forced Kinetic, etc.) but I am shocked at the backlash to the XBox One. I am to the point that I believe the PS4 will outsell the XBox One.

The only bad part about switching will be having to basically start over with a new account. I have a PS3 but I think the only games I have are The Show and Uncharted, and TLoU on Friday. There are definitely some exclusives I would have bought if it had been my main console.

Definitely PS4. The fact that it will be region free has sold it to me. That means more NCAA and MLBTS for me each year!

The two hardest parts giving up my XBL account after another disk failure was giving up my achievements and not playing with 3 kids online (they had the 3 remaining 360s). I got over the achievements, and I am glad this time we all will have PS4s.

Pre ordered my PS4 today along with an extra controller, Killzone:Shadowfall, Knack, and Infamous: Second Son. I'm also taking a hard look at Battlefield 4!

Also, if you sign up for PS Plus you get Drive Club PS Plus edition absolutely free for download!

"Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity. It's called Xbox 360," he said.

"If you have zero access to the internet, that is an offline device. When I read the blogs and thought about who's really the most impacted, there was a person who said, 'Hey, I'm on a nuclear sub.' I don't even know what it means to be on a nuclear sub but I've got to imagine that it's not easy to get an internet connection," he continued. "I can empathize, if I was on a sub I'd be disappointed."

The Escapist : News : Microsoft Exec: Offline Gamers Should Stick With Xbox 360

wtf

80 percent of our original crew is switching. The show on a great network could be mind blowing.

I am not holding my breathe on this, but you would think that changing to a paid service (allowing hopefully more resources/people) and updated hardware it should take a huge step forward. I honestly could not see how people played online Show games on the PS3.

Did Sony announce that there is now going to be a charge to play on PSN?
