Well the 360 is a year closer because the 360 came out a year earlier.

Why do you think Sony wouldn't support PS3 for 10 years? They did it for PS1 and PS2. Both of those platforms were well supported after their successive systems came out. I see no reason why that would change for PS3. They have 77 + million PS3's in circulation, why on Earth would they suddenly stop supporting it when PS4 comes out?

Yeah. I went back and looked at the time tables. The ps2 was still "supported" even though very much an afterthought when I was working at gamrstop in 2009-2010. You could still get accessories and the occasional multiplatform game. So yeah they kept their promise to the ps2.

Yeah, I mean in those last couple of years when they say "supported" they're talking about continuing to make the hardware,accessories, and back catalog of titles available while 3rd parties usually do the heavy lifting in terms of continuing new game support. Obviously 1st party companies are dedicating time and resources on the newer generation.

The more I read the more I am backing off this. I really, really, love Forza but I don't like the whole mandatory internet thing.

Maybe Microsoft can win me back with a really good showing at E3.

I think the mandatory Internet thing is dumb. I didn't start playing online until about 2 years ago for reasons I could not help. Others are that way too, it will hurt their sells some I'd imagine

What % of the targeted customer base doesn't have internet? And if you financially can't swing internet access, than you should probably out looking for work other than cranking your log chain playing offline video ganes

You know there are still a places without realizable broadband internet, right?

It may not be a vast number, but I don't think it's insignificant.

My parents out in Blount county can't get cable in their area, and for internet they have to use one of those verizon wireliss mifi things. Those have fairly restrictive data allowances.

When I worked a Gamestop back in 2010, there were still a fair number of folks who did not have reliable internet in their homes.

Lets be honest all Ms cares about is money. They make you pay for there service. They quit making games for the old consoles a year or two after the new one comes out. They use celebritys to sell there system. They make you trade in the games to THEM if you want to trade it and there charging you if you have to Meany people in your room when you play Kenict.
