What Led to Vols Loss to Mercer Last Year?

We can say all we want about how the team should always play their hardest regardless of circumstances. Yes, it should. But we are talking about human beings. Sometimes, regardless of what you know you should do, your heart isn't in it. I don't know how many of your remember when there used to be a 3rd place game in the NCAA tournament. The idea was dropped because there was no interest in it. The last several third place games were lack luster, underdogs won, and people just weren't interested in watching. And that was for third place in the NCAA.

All I know is that the Vols lost, which is a wakeup call, for sure. I presume the makeup of the team was the same. Anybody see the game?

Mercer is a good team, they just got caught in the whirlwind that is UT right now. Plain and simple.
