What is the real issue with JG?

Is it him starting the game or the coach keeping him in when he goes off the rails? I can see starting him but when he is not performing well, why are we keeping him in the game? If he is not getting it done, you have to pull him. No question about that.
Head case

Or just enjoy the limited time available to play a game. It's supposed to be fun
He is show boating with no legit reason to....like basketball player the shoot 10% and hold up 3 fingers everytime he gets lucky...is sad and selfish

I remember standing in the stadium at gametime
Trying to get my hopes up
There was this 5th year qb who they wont sit down
I hate to watch him do his stuff
Through the long losing nights he makes plays to get us beat
He makes 1 good play in a thousand and shoots his arrow at our feet
Down on JG street
In the ball game, he holds it and he drops it
when the defense puts him on his back
When he throws a pick six for the second time
Our team justs lets them run on by
Unlike all the other qbs, he looks lost on 3rd down and its incomplete
As he makes his way to the sidelines after another 3 and out
Down on JG Street
And sometimes even now, when were feeling lonely and beat
Jeremy says we've closed the gap and war daddies have been added to the sheet
Down on JG Street
Down on JG Street
More like JG "overpass"

The space between his ears. They kid probably kills it in practice through the week, which is why the coaches say he’s the best, but when the games starts he regresses.

He wasnt being a team player. Wasnt getting involved with the q.b group on sideline kinda take my ball and go home. No emotion. No im not intetested in learning. Just kinda in outer space..

I agree 100%. That game did not get his career off to a good start w fans. It's like he started his playing career upside down before his first action. Then lackluster erratic play put him behind the fan 8 ball.

I was actually just running you @ mis spelling Normady's name tho. 🤪

Anyone remember “3rd and Chavis”? Well now we have 3rd and Guantanamo. Worst 3rd down qb we’ve ever had. Statistics back it up.

They are pretty bad according to my fanOmeter. I'm convinced he's a head case. What's depressing is that CJP sticks w him and he could be right. 😳

In JGs defense I heard he’d been told he was starting that game and only heard he wasn’t at kick off. If that’s the case I’d understand the frustration

He plays like he's on Xanax most of the time. He never mentally developed past his freshman year. It sucks because he all all the physical tools to be special. He's in his fifth year now and why Pruitt is still holding out hope is beyond me. Makes zero sense

I’m thinking it’s his Psych professor..........😳

In my opinion, he just does not have the skill set to play at the SEC level and should have changed schools when the Butch Jones pea shooter offense left town, he is not a pro style quarterback, he lost me the day he committed to Tennessee, on the big advertising screens in Times Square, most kids that come out of the soft private school leagues in New Jersey don't stoop to such self absorbing grandiosity before they do something productive at the major conference level. He may derail Pruitt's head coaching career path, plenty of pressure coming out of an off week
He didn’t fit Jones’s offense either, it relied on quick reads and getting the ball to receivers quickly, and was more effective with a running threat at qb. Lord know Guarantano doesn’t read a defense quickly, and he’s the worst scrambler I’ve ever seen at Ut.

Normandy was a beach we stormed during world war two.

JGs basic problem is the time lag between seeing the receiver and throwing the ball. The good QBs the timing is: See - Throw. For the average QB it's: See - wait- throw. For JG it's: See - wait - wait - wait - Throw. His number and typw of pass plays are limited. Throws to the sideline ranging from just behind the LOS to 15 yds down field are OK. Deep balls 25+ yds down field also work. However, slants and shallow crossing paterns are OUT. He also works best with a 'Designated Receiver', no read involved, throw to X.

Against KY the first INT was a 'DR' on the sideline. Naturally, he looked at the receiver from the snap of the ball. The CB had close coverage and was watching the QB at the snap, thus he was able to jump the pattern and get a quick 6. The second was a rollout, he was reading and did not have a 'DR'. He did not see the underneath coverage and as usual was late with the throw - another quick 6 for the defense.

The OC with JG at QB is greatly limited in the passing game because he has to cover for JGs deficiencies.
Generally, practice is conducted at about 3/4 speed with little or no defense. Due to his overall accuracy JG does well in a practice environment and shows better than the other QBs. However, an actual game is a different story - here he falls apart if asked to do very much.

Could one of the other QBs do better in an actual game? Don't know, haven't seen them play more than a series or two, so the jury is still out on their abilities.

If CJP didn’t bench him over that cluster****k goal-line play vs Bammer last year, you know he won’t bench him for some measly pick 6’s.....right?
Amen brother. Amen, amen. amen. Something smells very strange. There seems to be a, lets say, "compromised" situation. Same with Supreme Court Judge John Roberts. Sorros has that man by the balls.

Real issues is he sucks. Is there really anything else to say about it. Just look at his starting record and it will be tell you all you need to know about him as a starter.

Totally agree with you. Jg's record says he gives us the best chance to win?? I don't think so, Pruitt gona lose his job over jg. Not this year, but probably next year, cause Pruitt thinks he gives us the best chance to win. Jg will be back next year and be the starter.

Hopefully Bailey is ready by then.

Only way JG is not back is if Fulmer tells him to take a walk. Or just maybe JG will see he has worn out his welcome on the hill and time for him to get a real job and not worry about playing football anymore.

I really wish he'd quit doing this crap when there's a hint of success. Smh.....Great you threw a TD......Hi-five your teammates and head back to the sideline and figure out how we can do it again.....

There are many things to gripe about with JG, sure. This is not one of them.

Coach and JG have this weird relationship.

It's very similar to keeping a cheating girlfriend around.

She cheats but you keep telling yourself oh she wasn't thinking, she loves me, blah blah blah, she didn't mean it, and then you keep letting her come back.

At this point JG has Coach mesmerized and Coach loves him to death. Nothing will ever separate those two.

Til death do they part.

He's too afraid to fail. He won't just relax and let the game come to him. He thinks too much instead of reacting. All these things lead to failure.

The dude is still the same guy we were watching years ago, no development in his game. With that said, those who were clowning Penix a few weeks ago, saying he wasn't any good, well the kid has vastly improved and is having a good game against Michigan. I guess he has a higher ceiling or better coaches, who knows. Crazy to think about what could have been or be with our young talent.
