You mentioned great pop songs, but the standards for best pop song simply has to be better than MM MM MM and I'm Too Sexy.

I'm really surprised no one has mentioned Smells Like Teen Spirit especially considering Kurt was trying to write the perfect pop song. You probably don't think of Nirvana when you think of pop.

I just thought of one I'd like to submit. I'm not sure how much accord it will get but Flock of Seagulls - Space Age Love Song. I love that song. Only song of theirs I can stomach, but it's such a great song and the video from the Jennifer Connelly film is probably the best music video ever made.

I'll 2nd liking the song and I've always crushed really hard for Connelly and know the video from Career Opportunities and and if you're a JC fan it's pretty mesmerizing.

I fell in love with that video thinking it was the official one for the band and not realizing it was from a film. Still haven't seen the film, but it's a better video than the other one the band has. Only song by them I like really but it is one of my faves.

FTR I don't recall the song as being part of the soundtrack. I think it is more an homage to Connelly with the whole "I was falling in love" theme from the song...which I can't imagine anyone not doing with her in that movie.
