I'm really surprised no one has mentioned Smells Like Teen Spirit especially considering Kurt was trying to write the perfect pop song. You probably don't think of Nirvana when you think of pop.

I just thought of one I'd like to submit. I'm not sure how much accord it will get but Flock of Seagulls - Space Age Love Song. I love that song. Only song of theirs I can stomach, but it's such a great song and the video from the Jennifer Connelly film is probably the best music video ever made.
