Pretty amazing to think we have him for another season. The kid is just straight up cold-blooded right now on both ends of the floor. With his size and length, I definitely think he can make it in the NBA.

His defense will get him in the league and keep him in the league. His offense is coming along. If he can perform next season. He'll be drafted.

I have been saying this all season. He can be as good or better than McRae has been for us next season as soon as he is called on to be the leader of the team. He is a top level NCAA defender and has always been solid with that pull up mid range jumper which is key at the next level. No doubt this guy has a bright future ahead of him.

From my understanding, when you are surrounded by better players/athletes you actually have a lot to gain. You get better by playing against better opponents..or at least you are suppose to.

I think Richardson is that type that embraces the underdog role. Not so much pressure on him.

Next year, all the pressure will be on him. I hope he flips the switch and becomes a solid leader but I don't know him personally.

I think that was the case with J.Stokes. Last year, he had a lot more pressure on him to be that big guy. He was the only 1 they relied on really. With Maymon, he doesn't feel that pressure and can just go with his game.

NBA scout mentioned him as similar to Jason Richardson fwiw

I had been using Deandre Liggins, but to be honest, that may now be an insult to Richardson.

Slow down!!! Some on here thought that Tyler Smith & Scotty Hopson would be NBA'ers too.

Let's see how his senior season plays out. Will his game improve or decline? Will he be healthy or injured? Will he get a suspension for an academic or disciplinary reason? How many other college players will improve in the next season?

Remember only 64 players get drafted each year to the NBA. Yet, there are 1300 players in college and many foreign players also........

Liggins has been my comparison too. But he is looking to me more offensive-minded than even I gave him credit for, and I've been one of his biggest cheerleaders.

Factors outside of smith and hopsons talent and athleticism are why they weren't drafted. Problems that do not exist with Richardson.

If his confidence translates along with the rest of his game he has a place in the NBA.IMO His defense will take him a long way but being able to score from outside inside would keep him around.

anyone ready to re-evaluate how bad we will be next year.....if stokes returns we could be pretty darn good
Stokes returning would obviously be huge.

Armani has developed nicely and should make a big jump next year. Don't forget about Hubbs either.

MKG with less size and a better outside shot. It amazes me someone drafted him #2 overall. I saw MKG play in HS and was not blown away by any means. I attended the City of Palms tournament in Ft Myers my whole life and saw the best of the best HS players and most of the time you knew which ones they were. MKG was not one of those.

Exactly. Offensively and defensively he can lay that blueprint for what Zo is looking for. I pray he stays. A tandem of Stokes, Richardson, Hubbs and solid point play would be sick.
