Great highlights. Tennessee is loaded. I cannot wait to run Kentucky out of the gym.
This just proves what many already know. Recruiting is the only way out of this. You cannot take players who don't play the game well, and expect them to play well just because it hurts your feelings to lose to Vandy. Tired of watching UT guys tackle someone and hold on to their waist and get pulled downfield for a 6 yard gain. And that was when we actually got hold of someone. Most times we didn't even get a hand on them. And the OL was even worse than the defense. We need new guys! This staff has been in place since last January and:
--Offensive line is just as bad as they were this time last year. Missed assignments, missed blocks, no effort
--Linebackers are just as bad as they were this time last year. Missed assignments, bad angles, poor tackling, lost in pass coverage.
--Safeties are still lost and non existent with the exception of a few targeting penalties
--Corners are all freshmen and are a little better than last year's group
--WRs still can't get off the line, can't get any separation, and still drop too many passes (#84; why does he get to play)
--There is still no pass rusher on the team
--QB play is just as erratic and inconsistent as it was last year.
--Team still gives very little effort and don't appear to be any stronger than they were last year.
To this teams fight after Ky? It's one thing to get beat by a better team. It's something else to lay down and play dead.
Last night's scenerio has happened three times lately.
Brays last season, it seemed that they wanted Dooley gone so we lost the Vandy game and were eliminated from bowl game
One season during Butch rein, we lost to Vandy and were eliminated from bowl game
Happened again last night
IMO, UK's ranking was based on the UF win. They aren't that good. Mizzou and Vandy both had them beat and let it slip through their hands.
Still, to your point, this team looks nothing like the team from 2 weeks ago.
