I really don’t like comments like this. It’s like you are trying to discount the fire Pruitt crowd as a bunch of ignorant bandwagon fanatics who for whatever reason hated the guy from the start. It simply isn’t true at all.
I was pro Pruitt to start the year and thought we had a chance to take a big step forward in 2020. Then the season happened. And I WATCHED. The team management is horrendous. We have taken a big step back from last year and at times honestly look like a Highschool team trying to play in the SEC.
Pruitt will be fine. He was hired with NO previous head coaching experience even at a high school level. People are envious of the Arkansas coach but he had been a JUCO head coach previously with vastly more experience overall than Pruitt. There was going to be a significant learning curve for Pruitt and he is working through it.
Pruitt received an extension and a raise so he will be here for several years. Let's see how he recruits and if he can win against Vandy and a bowl game against squads with similar talent levels. If Bailey and Shrout and Salter develop into SEC quality qbs - all will be well. There is no money available to buy Pruitt and his staff out. Too bad if the staff missed Thanksgiving meals - Chaney and others can miss a meal or 3 and get serious about coaching the Vols. Quit whining and firing coaches every 3 - 5 years. Allow Pruitt to rebuild - get everyone vaccinated and all will work out ok.
Pruitt may win 9 games next season and get it rolling. All players are eligible again and the least capable squad members can be replaced. Quit the whining and knee jerk reactions due to the COVID season which are mainly just exhibition games. Pruitt needs a bowl game to practice the squad and then practice them some more. Find out who wants to play SEC football and send the others home - including coaches that whine like Brumbach - or whatever his name is. Pruitt means business as does Fulmer to get Vol football back to the top.

I am disappointed in you boys. One bad season and you want to reset the program. Support your coaching staff. Program is in good hands. Some very bright days ahead. The corner will be turned today. New winning streak begins. The pick 6 epidemic is behind us. Opponents cannot expect 10 - 21 point gifts from vol turnovers. Yes coaching staff stability feels good.

A couple assistants are fired, we beat vandy and are competitive against tamu, we somehow end up with a top 15 class for 2021, and next year with Bailey as the starter we go 8-3 reg season with losses to bama, Uf, and uga, and sign a top 10 class.
Still fire Pruitt? Still hate him?
Just curious.
