What I will miss most about Jeremy Pruitt...

Fill in the blank.

Mine: Absolutely nothing. Never respected the fans, or the university. You could see it on his conceited face every single day. Dooley had redemptive qualities and so did Butch. Pruitt had none.
His disdain for us was evident from the outset. I detested him in a way that surprised me. I didn't like Butch or Dooley...but it was never as visceral reaction as Pruitt engendered.

Saying “aight” every couple of words when he was answering a question that he was unsure of

I wonder what happened to him after his initial press conference. In that first presser, he was animated and actually seemed excited to be here. I guess it's possible he wasn't excited about being here specifically, but was just thrilled that he had received a HC job, any HC job, that was going to pay him $4m+ a year. He had "made it" in essence already; he knew that even if he got fired with no buyout he still stood to make at least several million dollars.

The first red flag with him was when he criticized what he thought was the lack of attendance at his first O&W game. Even if you think that, that's a thought you keep to yourself, unless you're Saban. Then you can get away with it. And that's what his problem was - he thought he could act like Saban (i.e., be an ass) without the success to back it up.

I'll miss his insightful and educated pressers, uh....

I'll miss his innovative and open-minded strategies on both sides of the ball, uh...

I'll miss his integrity in recruiting, uh...

I'll miss his fashion statements on the sidelines because of Covid-19, uh...

Oh, I've got it now; I'll miss the feeling I had at halftime of the Georgia game.

I'll miss that month stretch of recruiting where it seemed like we could land anyone. Turns out he was just a big fan of McDonalds

As I mentioned in another thread...the best thing I can say about Pruitt is that he is high-functioning for his apparently diminished intellectual capacity.

"Bless his heart...look at him tie his shoes."

I’ll miss having a coach who can tell everything about a player by the way he practices and whether or not he has that “look in his eye”.
