What happens if Harrison Bailey transfers out after this year.

OP step away from the ledge. Bailey would be an idiot to transfer. He has a crappy QB in front of him. He will be our starter. He just needs to be able to read the defensive set better. That will come with time. Just because some of the insane people THINK we were going to lose to Vandy doesn't mean we will. Fans should be made fun of for freaking out about Vandy. The game getting bumped this weekend had nothing to do with us. It was about everyone trying to get in as many games as they can this year. Mizz was not going to be able to do that if they didn't play this weekend. We have time to make up the Vandy game. Hope this helps with you panic attack.

You are totally right on this. I wouldn't blame any back up qb for transferring. And if jg decides to return next year he will be our starting qb again, and then after another terrible season Pruitt will be fired at the end of next season. However, it should happen this year if we lose the remaining games. Even if we beat Vandy, which is questionable at this point. He should be fired. We are regressing and not getting better. The linebacker To o to o or however you spell it has regressed this year also. So what is going on?? I do believe we have more talent now than when Pruitt took over but our record is not showing it. Move now while we still have good talent.

If I'm a QB with NFL aspirations, there's no way I trust my college development to this staff. There's no way I play for a HC who is demonstrably this inept at evaluating QB talent/play.

He doesnt fit what dan likes on offense. Jones sees plenty of playing time to increase the gatos run game now with trask. Dan likes dual threat QBs and jones has looked good passing and throwing so far. Bailey is an old school drop back passer. Hope the oline steps up or he will not be able to play well..
Why would Bailey go a sit behind Jones? Sorry but the Florida fit isnt likely. That doesnt mean he won't transfer but florida is pretty unlikely.

There are other schools. Ole Miss, A&M just to name a couple close to o home (in SEC). I would expect Kif would take Harrison and if he has a decent supporting cast make a Heisman candidate out of him.

While reading about everyone making fun of us for being scared of vanderbilt, I came across several mentions of HB transferring out. One mentioned Florida as a destination. So what happens to the coach that will be the first coach at Tennessee to lose 7 in a row by double digits? Then loses his 5 star freshmen qb that he will not play to our hated rivals. We even Got bumped on the sechdule for missu and vanderbilt. Life long vol fan, I can't believe it has gotten this bad.
Be sure to put a little Baileys in your coffee to wash your Xanax down.

Were definitely in a bad place right now with this underachieving staff anything could happen in the off season. I think we probably need to start over again, but only if were serious about hiring a coach that can actually do the job.

Why would he transfer?.

I think it would be smart for him to transfer. He's a highly rated QB with lots of talent, and he's landed on a team with a poor coach, and he's facing either a mediocre college experience or an uncertain coaching change. He made a mistake coming to TN. He should go elsewhere, and I don't think anyone can blame him.

Please enlighten us all to the reasons why this scenario is even remotely possible? Given that our offensive coaching staff has literally made our QBs worse the longer they have been on campus, and the fact that Pruitt is 100% convinced, that regardless of what occurs on Saturday, that JG "gives us the best chances at success".
Because Pruitt will be told to do it. Sort of like how Fisher was told to put VY in.
Pruitt is going to start HB and if he fails he'll say I told you sooooo, if HB does good he'll say we were able to coach him up after all the practice and spring training and got him ready, we simply couldn't do that during covid last year...
Remember you heard it here first:)
Unless by some miracle we go ahead and send Pruitt packing then forget all the above:D

Lol, by who Fulmer? The guy who just gave Pruitt a two year extension before his third season for absolutely no reason other than to reinforce his own commitment to a bad decision? The guy who gave Pruitt a contract with guaranteed buyout money and no mitigation clause is going to do what? Tell him to play Bailey or he's fired? Please.

Rats bail from a sinking ship.
There will be several players that transfer if they can find spots.
QB's included.
The new HC will want "his own" players.
The players and recruits have to see CJP will not survive.
That is why I do not believe in the MUST GIVE HC EXTENION bs.

The Fans man...Keep up HAHA
They don't want us to burn UT down:cool:

FYI I want Fulmer and Pruitt gone. That extension and $ alone was enough to tell me Fulmer doesn't need to be the AD

And he gets this ability by watching film? No, he will get this by seeing it and playing on the field. I understand film room learning is beneficial, however it's somewhat like taking practice shots on the basketball court by yourself. It changes big time when you are in a game and someone is in your face.
Yes you can get it from watching film. You stop the film when the defense is set. Try and figure out what they have called and hit play. You do it in the film room because if you are wrong in the film room you don't get knocked on your azz or get hurt. Once you have became proficient at it you take that to the field. You better not take it to field and have no idea what is going on. You will get killed. SMH

HB is starting. At least that’s what the Man says. He’s ready to play for the future.
"He was starting vs Arkansas" and "he was starting vs auburn". We even had threads guaranteeing it, yet Pruitt still trotted out JG until it was put of hand. And rest assured, he'll trot him out there next Saturday, and every game He's here after that, including next season.

I haven’t heard this anywhere. I’d be shocked if he transferred to Florida. Nothing against Bailey at all, but Emory Jones has been waiting and developing in the wings for about 3 years now. He’s very likely the main man for two years after Trask leaves. Florida also has true freshman Anthony Richardson, billed as the next Tebow, marinating in the system. They’ve also got two promising, highly-rated QBs committed currently in Del Rio and Jalen Kitna.

Crowed QB room at UF, Bailey may bolt but I doubt it would be to Florida.

I actually believe that we can beat Florida with Bailey and here is why.

First off, Bailey will allow us to become more balanced in our ability to run as well as pass the ball. Defenses currently load the box on us and dare JG to throw a pass, he is so easy to defend against when he telegraphics every throw, and they know a pic 6 is likely and will jump the route.

This team really is not as bad as the record indicates, it just needs a leader that will lead by example, not BS talk. Bailey is a "Gunslinger" much like Bray was, he has no fear of interceptions because he will come right back at you again, he expects to throw 5 TD a game. In one game, he threw for 6 TD in the first half!!!

He has the ability to "light it up" if Chaney will make the calls and our defense will fight if they know that the offense can put a bunch of points up on the board.

Pruitt, wake up man the train is leaving the station, save yourself and save the program, start Harrison Bailey get the future underway.

I understand what you are saying, however "book learning" can take you only so far in any endeavor. Nothing will or has ever replaced "doing it". In the case of Harrison, I would hope he has had enough "book learning" time sense January to at least keep himself from getting hammered over and over when under fire. If he hasn't,,,,, well we could be seeing another JG type.
