The only way this is a story is if the medical staff admit that Butch overruled them and played the player against their advice.
which he can't do. the rules take it out of the coaches' hands at that point.
plus you have refs that are looking out for anything that might resemble concussion symptoms, other players, coaches....there's a whole host of protocols involved here that would have to be overlooked, missed or just flat out ignored for this to happen at this point.
edit...and if that's what happened, then yeah, of course he should be fired for it. i think, though, this is a pretty heavy accusation that should be able to be verified fairly easily, given all the protocols that exist today...you can talk to the refs and ask for what they saw on the field, you can interview the medical staff, and Kendrick, and other players. it would be pretty easy to figure out if this really happened....not that the concussion happened, that they willfully played him in spite of having one. and it's not like we haven't pulled players and held them out before w/concussion like symptoms.
