What happened to Boo?

One thing I've seen Boo beat on a lot this year is slants. Now, understand that a slant, for a nickel back or star, is the toughest route to cover in the slot. Because the receiver always gets a free release. So I forgive him for all of those. He's had a couple of REALLY solid games this year.

Something I've noticed is that fans are always really critical of the defensive backs because it's a position you very rarely always win at and they tend to remember every miss and not any of the excellent plays.

Unless he is injured (which doesn’t appear to be the case), there is a reason he’s not playing.

I heard a couple of weeks back that Boo has been dealing with turf toe. I am not sure if this is true as Heupel never discusses injuries but it would sure explain a lot of Boo issues as of late.

Boo is mentally checked out. He ran out of bounds on two punt returns and muffed another. He also once again took bad angles on defense and gave half of an effort. He’s gone once the winter portal hits in January and he knows it. Frankly, I’m all for it too. Let’s spend that NIL money on two mean three stars who play with something to prove.

Not even remotely true, defending the slant isn’t some magic trick for a defense and it’s a convenient excuse for the defense. They don’t defend anything well including the run game which is relatively simple to defend unless you are facing a triple option or heavy power run team which we haven’t faced all season. Boo doesn’t put forth maximum effort which is obvious to anyone who watches him play. Not being able to do man to man press coverage is the least of his worries

Right. Just like Urban Meyer always retired due to "health" every few years once he ran a program aground. His health isn't the reason Colorado sucks. It sucks because Sanders is their coach.
You do know he has cancer and had toes amputated have some of his foot amputated…..right????? Just a slight difference

Anyone know why Carter didn’t play any snaps on defense last night? Probably could have used him. Definitely tired of him fumbling punts……
