The players need to do what is best for them regarding short-term and long-term goals. The uncertainty regarding the coaching changes definitely impacts their decision whether it is the HC, OC/DC or position coaches. What does it matter to a player who stays with the program during the sanctions and someone who bolts to another school? Is it really negative for the players or does it not matter in the end?

Most would agree some of the transfers were caused by funds to them being cut off or the fact they will be implicated in a NCAA investigation.I think it’s situational and case by case.
Eric Gray- I get it. This is year 3 removed from HS and, with another big year he could be primed for the NFL draft. With all of the uncertainty at UT and the exodus of players, who really knows what we’ll look like in 2021. OU is going to put up big offensive numbers and a pretty talent rich roster going against B12 defenses.......would I do it? Nope. Do I get it....yeah, unfortunately.
Cimaglia(might be misspelling)- that is the stuff that irks me. Senior....are you really increasing your odds of landing on an NFL roster by going elsewhere? And maybe I’m just a grumpy old man but it aggravates me to see his lovey-dovey post about how much UT means to you......Thanks for the last few years, good luck, but don’t play it fake on social media. If TN meant that much why are you leaving? Is it boosting NFL odds?
I have no issue with dudes transferring FCS or lower level either. I think the bigger problem is that many of the guys were here for the $$$. May have liked UT okay but are out for #1. $$$ gone, he’s gone
Two grown ass, already wealthy men just left a whole athletic department and all those football players at UCF in the lurch. No one questions their “loyalty”. After what’s gone on here at UT the last dozen years, UT is lucky any parent would allow their kid to come here.
Is loyalty gone away these days? From both players and coaches?
The bottom line is NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY FOR A LOSER.What does it matter to a player who stays with the program during the sanctions and someone who bolts to another school? Is it really negative for the players or does it not matter in the end?
