becomes a legend. retires. chills in east tennessee. smokes cigars. learns to fiddle. and comes to a couple of games a year and signs autographs. the man loves tennessee football, and unfortunately we will not find a coach who loves tennessee football as much as this man does. maybe a better coach...but not someone who loves this university and the tradition as fulmer does.
and any coach who we hire who doesnt bring this guy in before big games to speak about the tradition of the game is an absolute moron.
Since Phil's such a great and inspirational person, perhaps he could open a halfway house to help rehabilitate his former players after they're released from prison.

give me a break. the guy has just ended a 16 year tenure at a school that he loves and gave his all for. i agree a change was needed, but the jokes are getting old.

I don't have a clue as to what he will do.I would like to see him stay at the University but I don't know how he feels about the situation. How much of it was a decision for himself to stepdown as to here's what we will give you?
