It was fundraising night at chick fil a for a little kid that was hurt when a tree fell on him at his daycare. Needless to say i had my share of sammiches.

Did you make the slaw? I like it when it's done to my taste. I can only remember maybe 3 times in the past 10 years that I've had it and liked it. I've never made it myself.

Yes, and I don't put a lot in it. Make the way my mom always did with cabbage, a little bit of carrots, and mayo.

dairy queen slaw or gtfofnaslersnftooo

Two of the best I've had...a guy and his wife in Utah run a place called The Lost Texan. Great barbecue and great slaw. The other place was in Lenior City. Don't know if it still exists. They made the best slaw dogs and the slaw was outta this world.

I don't have anything against slaw with vinegar, and I think most restaurants serve it like that. Just didn't grow up with it.
I can handle a little vinegar but, why in the heck would anyone put sugar in slaw. I grew up with that and hated it.

Depends on what else is in the slaw. Sugar offsets the acidity of some things. I put a pinch in my pico de gayo. It's not the same without it.

On the other hand, it could be a southern thing where foods gotta have butter, sugar and/or grease.

Sugar and butter grits.

S-n-P and butter grits.

I like 'em both. Depending on what else I'm having.

it's weird how taste buds change.. now i can't stand it. butta and a lil salt. no pepper.. dont wanna be singing push it real good while i'm eating.

I've never cared for the grits. I love corn so it must be the consistency of the grits.

took katie to a pumpkin patch and they had some hand griders where you could make your own grits. well hand grinders where you could take the kernels off the cob. she loved it.

Grilled hamburger steak w melted provolone, sautéed onions and mushrooms and roasted vegetables (asparagus, bell peppers, new potatoes and zucchini). And beer

T-bones, burgers, dogs, brats, baked taters, baked beans, corn, cheesy Texas toast.

Like a tick that robbed a blood bank, I'm hurting.
