Last night I was in the mood for chicken and my wife makes a very good fried chicken...but I didn't want to stink up the house so I took her spice mix (think KFC clone) and simply sprinkled it on chicken thighs. After having the rub on for a couple of hours I dusted the skin with cornstarch and put back in the fridge for an hour.
I lit the BGE and cooked them raised direct at 375 for 45 minutes. Pretty good! The skin was super crispy and the spice mix was very savory.
