What did you have for dinner?

thanks, neighbor has one, and raves about it too...
I just keep putting off getting one, because of the cost

you will save enough money on charcoal in a year to justify the cost. I bought an XL, but a Large would have been plenty big. They are well worth the money, plus, they have a lifetime warranty.

Fayetteville is 5 hours from here, but I have some buddies that are hosting a tailgate that are real cooks. They go all out.

Worth it?

We'll see. I've always gone the cheap route and grills fall apart on me. Going to try and take care of this one. Took some time to figure out the temperature thing, but going to try again today with chicken.
Bout to watch some videos of people grilling on them and maybe learn something.

you know that you have to use lump charcoal only, right? Absolutely no lighter fluid or anything with lighter fluid in it.

Yep. Got the starter pack with the green egg charcoal. I just had trouble getting a good temp, and I wasn't sure how long to burn that wood/charcoal. It got hot fast, but I had trouble getting a consistent temp. I'm also a flipper. Get made fun of for flipping too often. However, the guys that tell me to just flip once always have stories of burning their steak and green egg guy told me many burn their first time. I'm on a 17 year streak of medium to med rare and it wasn't going to end at the advice of an antiflipper.

there is an excellent steak recipe on thee BGE website. Also alot of good advice on there. It takes a little bit to get the temp regulation down. I would suggest that you go to Lowes and buy a cheap digital thermometer for your slow cooks. They are inexpensive and worth every penny.

Also, spend the 40 bucks on the electric starter, its worth its weight in gold. You can have a fire ready to coo in 10 minutes with it. Eff those starter sticks.

Late dinner . Been outside all day .
Sorry ate a few bites. Salmon, asparagus, and scallop cakes.

Meh. Quick dinner oven style. I picked it up in Publix on the way back from hiking . Light eats but good with beer. I was just craving some seafood.

Acceptable.

I thought it was restaurant served.

Lulz, I ate it on the island counter top while charging my phone. It was a delicacy over Taco Bell or McDonald's . Don't judge me, bich!

I'm not Martha Focker. For what it was, I said I approved.

You need a Kleenex?
