What did you have for dinner?

the recipe I used called for beating the chicken breasts flat. Meh, too much trouble. I butterflied em down the middle, added the mixture (softening the cream cheese makes it a helluva lot easier to handle) closed em up and wrapped em in bacon. Cooked em on the egg at 350 for about 30 minutes I think.

Did that bottle of crown have anything to do with the recipe or as that just for you to enjoy?

The chicken was awesome! Next time we are adding a little Siracha to the sauce to spice it up a bit.

My guess is Las Margaritas. I won't list which one for privacy sake. Correct?

The new place in Ooltewah. :) I knew you'd think Las Mas. I like it better, but Tony's gets his hair cut out that way so we stopped to eat, then picked up some groceries.

You gonna share the recipe for the chicken?

Bubba, tell me more about the beans (looks like black eyed peas) on that plate. What is that with them?

that was the last bag of last years purple hull peas. That is just cornbread and peas with a little Louisiana hot sauce on them.

I will have to get it from Tara but I will get it to you. I didn't know of a new place in Ooltewah. I don't go much since I moved to ER.

I was thinking about firing-up the grill tonight. I looked back at bubba's bacon-wrapped chicken for an idea. I just noticed he has a half-gallon of Crown sitting next to the Green Egg. I thought he didn't drink. WTF, bubba?

So for your BGE, you use the electronic sensor and fan for temp control?
Any issues with it

I dont use a fan. I just have a cheap digital thermometer with a probe so I can keep track of internal temp so it doesnt cook too long and dry out. With the egg, once you get the temp regulated, you are gold all day. Thats one of the benefits of the egg, you dont have to babysit it on a slow cook. It takes some practice, but once you figure it out, its effortless.

thanks, neighbor has one, and raves about it too...
I just keep putting off getting one, because of the cost
