Tried Steak N Shake for the first time since 2009.
We got two Double Steak Cheeseburgers & Beef Tallow Fries
What a disappointment. Burgers were way too salty and the beef felt mealy.
They did not taste like they did years ago.
Do not know what they are doing but I likely will not go back.
Fries were okay

The one in the Tri went out after a couple years. I wasn't impressed with it either. It just made me want Freddy's.

Probably some bean counters figured out a way to cut cost by skimping on quality.
Same thing happened with KFC.

It's hard to find anything from back in the day that hasn't been cost cut into the ground. It's one of the reasons I love Pal's so much.

The Twilight Zone KFC near me serves a good chicken sandwich. It’s clean. Its grounds are well kept. The variety of people who work there are polite, efficient, and want customers to be happy. I know, unusual for a KFC. It’s as if I’m in the twilight zone…
