Love apple butter too. We picked some up a few of weeks ago at one of those local markets outside of Blowing Rock. First apple butter I have had in years!

We rediscover it a few year ago. My 7 year old likes it and that's always tough to find lol.

Turnip greens (scratch from fresh chopped turnip greens) and cornbread, washed down with lemonade

When someone keeps insisting that you try an unappetizing rutabaga dish, “I was sick with food poisoning, could hardly make it to the toilet. The stereo kept playing the same side of the album. I was listening to The Mothers if Invention sing about rutabagas over and over while I was puking or dry heaving throughout the night.”

We always say that he is a vegan carnivore - no dairy, no egg, but all the meat, poultry, and fish he can get.

He’s “interesting” to cook for. He eats anything and everything, including what he shouldn’t. Among his ER runs:

goldfish crackers left on a table at friends’ house
Hint of Lime Tostitos (who knew?)
venison sausage (had evaporated milk)

So far nothing on my watch
