What did you have for dinner II?

Ok homer. Add a healthy dose of dice tomatoes to that gravy, and you will have a middle GA and So. Miss. delicasy that will roll your eyes back. Tomato gravy is sick, especially with fresh garden varieties. Up here my area of middle TN it seems to be chocolate gravy and biscuits is the old favorite. In a pinch, you can also use some certified italian import diced/crushed tomatoes. There are a couple brands that are shelf staples in most stores. I prefer my bisuit gravy from the sausage gravy, but the bacon grease gravy seems to pair well when adding the tomatoes. Red-eye is my fav, but the don't let me cook up country ham often cause the smell is in the house for days. I control it by cooking my ham with a little water always in the skillet cause i'm gonna simmer down and add coffee for the red eye anyway and using the water gets more of the good stuff out of the ham for the gravy.
Never added tomato luke that, but tomatoes with gravy and biscuits have always been good

Got turned on to tomato gravy by an acquaintence down in Thomaston years ago. Was a gravy lovers enlightenment. Give it a whirl with the best maters you can find this time of year. Or dice up some of those canned certified italian san marzano. You will come back and thank me.

I'm very impressed by your pizza and crust edge shaping skills. Wouldn't have thought to bake one in the iron skillet, but everything else is better in one, so go figure. Me and the misses have been discussing getting our son a pizza oven for xmas.
You can't go wrong with a pizza oven. Sounds like a great gift.
