What did you have for dinner II?

OK. I had intended to take a pic, but when my plate got full, my mouth got open...But I spent a bit of time in the kitchen yesterday and was hungry.

Blackened Catfish filets, with a zesty salad shrimp and asparagus white wine cream sauce. Homemade red beans and rice. Cornbread ho cakes.

Hold on there. Sweet cornbread has a calling. Most recipes do have a couple tablespoons atleast. But, a true sweet cornbread specifically goes on the menu for BBQ.
The sweet cornbread that I’ve had and hated has gooeyness, like there was syrup or something in there.

Maybe honey on top and baked in, but that's not a real southern sweet cornbread. A Hickory BBQ hole in the wall I frequented in Abilene, TX made the corn ear shaped sweet cornbread sticks to perfection to go with their BBQ. Should have same moist texture as regular cornbread. Only enough sugar to get to to the sweet side, but not pastry sweet. I've been known to heat mine with butter and drizzle honey on it, but it should not come out of the oven that way. I will also make cornbread with creamed corn and it will be moist and barely a tad sweet, but that's not a sweet cornbread.

I’ll need to try that creamed corn version. I bought three cans by accident (na fan of creamed corn) and have been trying to figure what to do with it.

I always use a can in my cornbread recipe.

Also just cooking can on the stove top, I use one can cream corn, and one can whole kernel (drained). With a pat of butter. Fresh corn, I slice off the kernels, drag the cob with a knife to get as much milk as possible, add finely diced bell pepper and onion and fry in skillet with a little butter, salt, and pepper. Skillet fried corn will change your life.

Know the feeling. Wish I could answer why food is so tempting three hours after supper
We are early yesterday and today, just because of my wife in and out of sleep after surgery. There's a chic fil a right here close to our hotel, and I've done decided to go get milkshakes in a little bit!

It's just a personal preference. Wasn't attacking you or anything. Sorry if it came across that way. Personally I think it's the worst pizza of any of the major pizza chains. Their ingredients are the lowest quality of almost all the major chains. I don't know if it's something in their sauce or what, but every time I have eaten it (been years since I have had it) I have thrown up. The only food allergy that I have is to mushrooms and they make me feel the same way. Swore off of it years ago.
I tried a thin crust from dominoes today. Little Ceasars is better.
