But then got hungry again and got these from the hotel restaurant
The sweet cornbread that I’ve had and hated has gooeyness, like there was syrup or something in there.
I’ll need to try that creamed corn version. I bought three cans by accident (na fan of creamed corn) and have been trying to figure what to do with it.Maybe honey on top and baked in, but that's not a real southern sweet cornbread. A Hickory BBQ hole in the wall I frequented in Abilene, TX made the corn ear shaped sweet cornbread sticks to perfection to go with their BBQ. Should have same moist texture as regular cornbread. Only enough sugar to get to to the sweet side, but not pastry sweet. I've been known to heat mine with butter and drizzle honey on it, but it should not come out of the oven that way. I will also make cornbread with creamed corn and it will be moist and barely a tad sweet, but that's not a sweet cornbread.
Know the feeling. Wish I could answer why food is so tempting three hours after supperView attachment 357487

I love peppers and sausage like that, but I will have to try your spice compliment next time I fix it. Xtra points for the iron skillet.View attachment 357579Kielbasa with peppers & onions in a olive oil, parmesan, garlic, basil, lemon sauce. Optional, Angel Hair Pasta.
I tried a thin crust from dominoes today. Little Ceasars is better. It's just a personal preference. Wasn't attacking you or anything. Sorry if it came across that way. Personally I think it's the worst pizza of any of the major pizza chains. Their ingredients are the lowest quality of almost all the major chains. I don't know if it's something in their sauce or what, but every time I have eaten it (been years since I have had it) I have thrown up. The only food allergy that I have is to mushrooms and they make me feel the same way. Swore off of it years ago.
