it actually was very good. I’ve started to add more Sweet Potatoes to my diet and experimenting with different recipes. This one was a keeper. I used Olive Oil instead of Coconut Oil, which I did not have.

My god, I haven't thought about those in years. I may have to make the "sweet rice" soon. Mamaw used to make it.These are old southern things and people have looked at me crazy when I say how much I love them.
Anybody ever make some white rice and then add butter and sugar to it? My mom used to make that for me when I was young and I still have it occasionally.
It's kind of like peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches (probably my all-time favorite sandwich). Used to be a popular thing in the south, but has kind of faded away over time.
My grandma on my dad's side ner had real snacks, occasionally donuts. When we were little, she'd give us a piece of loaf bread with karo syrup. As a kid, man it was goodThese are old southern things and people have looked at me crazy when I say how much I love them.

That is something I have never been able to enjoy. I've tried it several times over the years because my girls love fries in a frosty. That and peanuts in mountain dew. But I know people that love it.I'm not big on mayo, in general. Of course, I didn't think fries dipped in milk shake would be good either.
